It's so obvious Sanchez should not catch another game in this series... He had a few  passball last night it didn't hurt us but the guy looks like loss back there he can't frame he doesn't know where the pitcher wants to throw the ball to what side of the plate... got to go with Higashioka right now he is a better catcher and the pitchers trust him.

Totally agree. Higashioka is definitely better behind the plate land has proved he can hit. Waiting for Sanchez to straighten out and run into one should be over.

Couldn't agree more. Sanchez has become a liability behind home plate, and has been like that this entire season, its long over due, Boone has to know this.. He actually looks like he has no confidence in himself and all that effects the pitcher. And Yankees cannot afford to wait for his bat to show up in this series. Enough is Enough. Higgy needs to catch the rest of the playoffs, and going forward, it may be time to think about changes for next season. This has become a big problem.

The Yanks will see Ellsbury, DJ, Paxton, Happ and Tanaka all come off the books.   They should decline Gardner's option as well and only bring him back at a much lower salary.

They should focus on either bringing Tanaka back, or getting Bauer.   Or making a trade for a starter.

But their main focus in the off-season should be to sign Realmuto.

Move Gary to a smaller market team that will be willing to try to fix him.

I wouldn't mind seeing DJ resigned either, but not if he prices the team out of getting Realmuto.  There are plenty of quality middle IF options and only one stud catcher out there in FA.

I hope Higgy catches Tanaka tonight and again in game 5 with Cole if it goes that long.

Love to get JT in offseason but I am afraid we will see Sanchez again in 2021.

There is NO replacing DJ. Homerun/K hitters are a dime a dozen, but there's only one power hitting consistent contact hitter who is able to play so many infield positions on an above average level. Yes, Sanchez needs to go, but not at the expense of not resigning DJ. Getting Realmuto is not worth losing out on DJ LeMahieu, especially when they already have a pretty decent defensive catcher with some pop, in Higashioka.

They can get a very good defensive SS (which moves Gleyber back to 2b) in Didi if they want to, and he's a LH bat.   Simmons will be a FA and he's in a close-to-Ozzie level of defense at SS.   Even Iglesias is very interesting, he's a a very slick fielding SS whose bat has perked up the past 2 seasons.

Those guys are all better options compared to DJ than Higgy is compared to Realmuto IMO.

There is no way they would even think of moving DJ, or not giving him a big contract. This is not your average player, guys like him do not come around that often. A gold glove infielder and batting championship. No Way.

Anyone who wants to see DJ not signed hasn't been watching Yankee baseball.

I love DJ. I think if they want to bring Gardner on the cheap Gardner will accept because he wants to retire in pinstripes and playing in front of the fan. I would give him that, but of course at lesser dollars.

We need pitchers more than anything
