Per YES Network’s Jack Curry he is seeking 5 years, $100 mil.  While I would argue he was the team's MVP in 2020 and is certainly the team's best pure hitter, 5/$100 is too much and too long for a middle INF who will turn 33 in July.  Yanks should hold firm at 4/$80.

I think the Yankees just want to see what he is offered ... then they'll sign him based on the offers he receives.

Sounds like they told him to test the market, get his best offer then get back to them.  What I wonder is if his agent says he has been offered $X for Y years is there any way to verify that?  Boras, for example, often claims his clients have huge ofrfers on the table without sprecifying who made them.

If he insists on 5 years, I hope they let him go. Still would rather they spend the money on pitching

Nah, just using him as an example of wondering how they verify any claim of what other offers DJLM might get.

Cano was pretty good por the Mets in his age 38 season (.316/10/30, .896 OPS).  How much of that was PEDs?  No way to know.  Still, I agree 4 years max

I thought I read someplace that the Yankees were getting the ex-cleveland pitcher ?? I can't think of his name, I think he signed a deal or was traded to Texas but had some shoulder problems on his walk year ...
