Harden trade is a disaster

Well, Durant has the center he wanted to play, Jordan. It's too bad Marks traded the GOOD center who dominated the Nets. Twice. The Nets Efense is embarrassing, and the Nets should have never traded for Harden. Irving and Harden are two ball hogs. And Harden shows he is still legendarily garbage on defense.

Yes and thank you. Even with Harden passing up shots to facilitate his teammates it is not good enough when you have no defence. They traded their defence. Jordan has looked like exactly what he is, a bench player. Someone to give your "big" a rest. Smh. It didn't take someone in the business to see the problem with this 3 playing together.

Are you guys kidding me? Are you really questioning the works of Sean Marks? That man almost always has a plan. Yes the trade took a hit on defense, but that's why they have 2 roster spots open: To sign someone who either is a free agent or can be bought out/waived from their current team and sign with the Nets. Last I heard, they just sign Norvel Pelle who is supposed to be a good rim protector (like Jarrett Allen). Rumors says the Nets could end up with Andre Drummond, if he's bought out from Cleveland. We all knew going into the season that defense was gonna be a big question mark, but in Marks we trust. You can't possibly sit there and tell me that you would totally frown upon the fact that the Nets have not 1, not 2, but THREE SUPERSTARS and they're playing on OUR favorite team because they WANT to. When's the last time THAT has happened with this franchise?

You're acting like this was all Sean's idea.

The Nets need to deal Irving.

Nets score 145 points again...

... and lose.

Nets Efense, ladies and gentlemen.

And it isn't that the Nets can't guard a parked car now, or that their bench is thin.

They dealt their future away for Harden.

Harden, who is now hurt.

This was like a 10 year old playing franchise mode on NBA 2K.

Former Nets GM Billy King has been the derided endlessly for the deal he made in 2013 that brought Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to Brooklyn and sent a gaggle of picks to Boston — and rightly so. Marks was hired to erase the memory of that mistake. In November, he actually said this:

“I think we want to build something sustainable here. This is not something that’s a fleeting moment, like go all-in and a year or two years from now, we’re sitting here like, ‘Great, now we’ve got to completely rebuild everything and we don’t have the assets to rebuild with.’ So there’s that side of it.”

Sounded good. And now reads like parody, like farce, like folly, and now it is an astonishing joint King-Marks fact that the Nets will go 14 years — 2014 through 2027 — without once controlling their first-round choice. Read that sentence again. Staggering.

Well technically speaking, it was. Marks was the main person responsible for getting the Nets out of that hellhole they were in after that horrendous trade with Boston several years back.
