I expect Trump to do stupid things like giving Rush the Medal of Freedom. But it told me a lot about some Trumpies' mindset when they gave someone like Rush a standing ovation.

Max, there seems to be a revolution brewing in the Great Country, and thank God we voted out their leader donald trump... I often try to imagine what some of his base and the people that have put their lives and careers in jeopardy for this man... The Capital Riot shows that people are not capable of thinking for themselves... didthey honestly think they could get away with trying to kill people in public on TV in front of the whole world?? Again, donald is good as what he does, brainwashing people to do his deeds...

It would be great for Dems to be able to benefit from a Trumpian Pox on the GOP. We need some time with Congressional control to implement sound economic, immigration and other domestic legislation that is actually favored by the majority of Americans. In the wake of the Bush Crash and Great Recession, the Republicans were able to bottleneck Obama's legislative agenda by constant obstruction and delaying actions. Their state progaganda arms were able to convince enough Americans that Dems were to blame for not being able to get enough done. Once the House went over to Boehner and the GOP, it was curtains for progress from then on.
