Just a little Justice from a Republican run State... Our SD attorney general while driving home from some meeting, he hit a man walking along the road near a small town in central SD, he killed the man and left him lying in the ditch, he went to the sheriff in this small town and the sheriff went and loaned the AG a car so he could go home, didn't really investigate until the next morning, didn't take any breathalyzer test or anything on him... I'm not sure of what all happened after that, it's been a hushed-up case, Our Governor Ms. Noem has kept it under rap... Well they finally charged him with 3 misdemeanors and pretty much let him off with a slap on the rist..

The SD political machine buried the truth back in Sept 2020 while Joe Boever's family buried him.

There are different sets of rules for people that are predicated and directly proportional to their economic and political status. It is called the Kennedy rule.

That is why it took 15 hours to administer Ravnsborg a breathalyzer. The alcohol will have long dissipated from his blood by then. Obviously, the Boever family do not have the money or connections to expose this state sponsored hit and run murder coverup.

Lady Justice's blindfold might impair her sight but it does nothing to mask the metalic sounds of jingling coins or the conversations of those in power.

The GOP relentlessly harped and hammered on this just like they did B Clinton's novel use of a cigar. For years they beat this stuff to death.

But showed their true colors when it came to TWO Trumpet impeachments. Whoosh. Like nothing happened at all.

And we can't forget all the time and taxpayer money the GOP spent inventing a Clinton scandal with their bogus House Select Committee on Benghazi.

You should probably read South Dakota's law regarding administration of a field sobriety test or chemical test.  It's actually strikingly similar to New York's.  I've been to hundreds of car accidents over the years and have treated drivers that I believed to be intoxicated.  Many times, when I inform the police of my concerns, they tell me that my observations don't meet the criteria for administration of a field test.  They do not just randomly administer field tests or chemical tests because someone was killed.

Well trust me here in SD the average person would have a breath test as soon as they were caught in such an accident, I also think if you called in and said you had someone that was involved in an accident that the person might have been drinking, NY law would not tell you they weren't interested, just more BS that you spill all over the place.. And when someone hits a person kills them, you have to be joking...

One thing here you are forgetting, he didn't even know what he hit, tried to tell the sheriff he thought he hit a dear.. I've hit several deer in my lifetime, you sure the hell know the difference between hitting a deer and a human being, that is of course if you're sobber ?? Everything smells in this, and to get off with three misdemeanors, or should I say a little slap on the wrist ???

I've rarely been told that they "weren't interested".  Usually, the police officers come into the ambulance, do their own assessment of the patient's sobriety or lack thereof, and then decide that the patient doesn't meet their criteria for performing a test.

I too have hit a few deer in my lifetime (and fortunately never a human) and I'll agree that I would think that it should seem different to the driver.

It sounds like the Republican SD legislature has opened impeachment articles against the AG.
