Has a Yankee fan for 53 years I can tell you about pressure baseball. It’s the worst for ball players who are affected by it. Because the fans know that you are a unreliable player and you are affecting the team. The players I’m talking about is Swisher, Arod and Cano. Why is it that a .200 hitter from the other teams can come through with a two out hit and our millionaire rarely ever do. Because is just that, they make so much money that the pressure gets to them. If you need them just to make contact and move the runner or sac fly, they strike out or hit into double play. Hey Jeter sometime doe s the same, but not all the time.. Arod , Swisher does it all the time. Granderson is also feeling the pressure. You can also blame the manger for not moving them out of their batting order. These guys are in a very important spot in the order and they are not doing the job. Cano might be affected by one day batting third the next day batting 5th. I never seen Mantle bat 5th until he end of his days. I would bat Arod 6th or 7th until he start whacking the ball. He had a 13 game hitting streak and most of the hits were cheap off the end of the bats or bloopers that fell in, crap. Just sit him down and play Chavez who makes better contact. But Giraldi will never do that because of his loyalty to them. Not to the team. Speak up announcers of the game say the truth. Stop trying to fooling us. saying “that we need Arod back” , he is humiliating the line up. Yesterday Al Leiter said with runners at 1st and 3rd and one out that Swisher with less than two out had knock in 16 out of 31 runners he said that was excellent. But what he failed to tell the dumb listener’s that at one time this year he had 15 out of 19 runners knock in and that was in early July but now In pressure baseball September he has just 1 out of 13 and I said 13 not 12 because he just hit into a double play. Michael Kay and all you guys say the truth to us.

Hi Chris, tell Micheal Kay to stop having pitty parties for these high priced supposedly atheletes every time they get a little hit,, im so tired of all the announcers every time a player get hit or trips making it out to be a major problem.. Let them suck it up and play like they are supposed too... years ago watching baseball.. the players very rarely were on the bench or on the DL.. just tired of everyone babying these million dollar players... I do love baseball, and have watched the yankees since the age of 7.. ty

Chris, I see that Tebow was in the Stands tonight (4/15/12). Who was sitting with him and did he ask to meet Jeter & A-Rod? I seem to see Jetes playing a shade towards 3rd. Is that why the hits towards the bag are so out of reach for him?

Chris, You SHOULD have your own radio show..............you know your sports, have a sense of humor AND you give people an opportunity to voice their views even if you don't agree with them. I sure know two people that would be great guests on your show from time to time, "The MAD Hungarian" & "The MOST Charismatic Girl in the World".......Megan Dedousis (2011 Hooters Dream Girl Contestant)........both representing NJ (Highland Park & East Brunswick)........you'll get a show before you know it. -----Stephen Nagy (www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevenagy)

Chris, where you been, man? I just commented about this on Bob's blog. You guys need to talk about the prospects more. I'm not just talking about 10 minutes during the BP show (which was good with Montero and Romine last time btw). You need like a half-hour to an hour show. There are a LOT of fans who would really appreciate that and watch it. We have sources from posters on here and from nomaas but I think it's about time we got more than that. RiverAveBlues did a good job with the draft. But come on. There should be more. This is the Yankees. They have the money to make a new show happen. We don't need 4-5 hours of Mike Francesa every day. People just call in with the same BS all day long. Plug some different shows toward the end leading into the BP show and Pre-game. Or put the farm show after the post-game. Wherever, it doesn't matter. But you should at least HAVE one. Come on now, Chris. Make it happen!
