WFAN will carry the game live. Bob Papa will handle play-by-play duties. Papa will be accompanied by former Giants defensive back D1ck Lynch⁈⁚s color commentary. Lynch⁈⁚s 39 years broadcasting for the Giants is a franchise record. Dave Jennings, the former Giants punter, will begin his fifth season in the broadcast booth, following 14 years of radio with the New York Jets. The Giants (7-7) will try to keep their playoff hopes alive this week when they host New Orleans (9-5) in a Christmas Eve match-up.

Last week the Giants lost to the Eagles, 36-22, at home to split their season series with Philadelphia.

The Giants scored less than three minutes into the game when Tiki Barber ran 11 yards for a touchdown. Brandon Jacobs scored the Giants⁈⁚ other touchdown in the fourth quarter when he pushed his way into the end zone from one yard out. Jay Feely made all three of his field goal attempts, including a season-long 47-yard kick, and attempts of 23 and 24 yards.

Barber led the Giants with 19 carries for 75 yards. Plaxico Burress was the Giants⁈⁚ top receiver, with six catches for 120 yards, including a 52-yard reception. Eli Manning completed 28 of 40 passes for 282 yards.

Will Demps was the defensive standout, with a sack for a loss of six yards, an interception, a pass defensed, a forced fumble and six tackles (five solo). Carlos Emmons also sacked Jeff Garcia, for a loss of 10 yards, in addition to compiling eight tackles (seven solo). Antonio Pierce led the team with 11 tackles (seven solo).

The Giants are now 76-66-2 against Philadelphia in the regular season.

The Giants started the season with a 26-21 loss to Indianapolis at home. They went on to beat Philadelphia on the road in overtime, 30-24, then lost to Seattle, 42-30, at Qwest Field. The Giants defeated Washington, 19-3, at Giants Stadium, then traveled to Atlanta, where they beat the Falcons, 27-14. On Oct. 23, they defeated the Cowboys in Dallas, 36-22, on Monday Night Football. The Giants beat Tampa Bay, 16-3, and Houston, 14-10, in back-to-back games at Giants Stadium, before losing four straight: at home to Chicago, 38-20, at Jacksonville, 26-10, in Tennessee, 24-21 and vs. Dallas, 23-20. The streak ended when the Giants defeated Carolina, 27-13, on the road.

New Orleans opened the season with three straight wins⁈“ at Cleveland (19-14) and Green Bay (34-27), and home against Atlanta (23-3). The Saints lost on the road to Carolina, 21-18, then bounced back with back-to-back home wins vs. Tampa Bay (24-21) and Philadelphia (27-24). Following the bye week, they lost, 35-22, while hosting Baltimore, then beat Tampa Bay on the road, 31-14. New Orleans lost at Pittsburgh, 38-31, and vs. Cincinnati, 31-16, before winning its⁈⁚ last three games: at Atlanta, 31-13, vs. San Francisco, 34-10, and at Dallas, 42-17. Last week, the Saints dropped a 16-10 decision vs. Washington.

beleive it or not mussinafan it wouldnt bother me much if the saints did win , i want the giants to miss the playoffs so that cughlin gets canned
