I just checked espn nothing about Lilly only about Glavin signed with mets and Yankees raising box seat prices and Zito meeting with Rangers. If it's true well good for them I think he will be good there.

The thing with Lilly is you can almost gauge what you are getting but with Igawa you just dont know. I would rather have Lilly and see 12-15 wins with a 4 to 4.5 era then to gamble that much on Igawa who could be a big bust. You just dont know with him.

Agreed. I also think we should be going after a FRONTLINE starter
and HARD. By trade or by acquisition. We need one.

For 12-15 you can just put the guys in from the minors, why would you lock up the rotation with Lilly and give him all that money and long contract for 12 wins. If you think you can get 12 wins then why would you want him? Geez give the guy some credit.
