Cashman Needs A Good Draft This Year

After last year's disasters, missing out on Michael Inoa and failing to sign Gerritt Cole, Cashman really needs to focus on the farm system this year, particularly the draft. Still don't understand why he passed on high end talent like Tim Melville and Ryan Westmoreland in the draft last year. Hopefully, he and Oppenheimer take more chances this year.

Well w/ the signings of C.C., A.J. and Tex, the yanks lose some early draft picks. But since they failed to sign Cole, their sandwich pick is protected. So, this years draft won't be good. But i'm hoping next year will be better.

well this was the perfect year to go out and sign type a free agents because this year's draft is already one of the worst compilings of talent, there is really only one sure thing and that is strasburg.

No no, their first round slot from last year is protected. They get to pick where they would have last year. They lost their first round pick from this year, but they still get their first round slot from last year.
