Espn reported this last night that Eli would be out a month but other reports within the Giants organization and Eli say it's not true. I hope it's not true.
here's info from some blogs....

Also, for the many of you who have posted or e-mailed, yes, I am aware of the report that says Manning is out for a month with a separated shoulder. All I can tell you is what I know, and everyone I've talked to inside and outside the organization is saying the most he'll miss is one or two games, but he could be ready to play by Sunday. It all depends on how he feels when he tries to practice, which won't be known until Wednesday.
The difference in reports also may be a matter of semantics. A sprain, I'm told, is a mild separation in which the ligaments in the A-C joint are stretched or torn (I'm told Manning's ligaments were only stretched). So I suppose that means it's technically possible to classify Manning's injury as a separation, though that makes it sound worse than I'm told it is.

According to Eli Manning, a report by ESPN that indicated he has a separated right shoulder and will be out a month is erroneous. Manning said doctors have told him it⁈⁚s a bruise of the A⁈”C joint, the area where the shoulder blade meets the collarbone, and that the doctors have left it in his hands as to when he feels good enough to come back.
Manning said he⁈⁚d be surprised if he was out a month, and even left open the possibility of playing this week against Green Bay. If he can⁈⁚t, Jared Lorenzen will be next in line.
