Santana had a 5-2 lead into the top of the 9th. Met's bullpen imploded, Phillies scored 6 runs in the 9th. Now in the bottom of the 9th, phillies leading 8-5

the mets=sc*rew ups since day one i'm not surprised actuaaly no I take that back I am surprised. I thought alright johan will either pitch great or good and win. He pitched well but the BP imploded.

Bottom Line: This is how you seperate the contenders from the pretenders.

With Wagner not available...Phillies win 8-6

Sanchez and Schowenweis are not any good, especially in big spots. Heilman is just awful. Wagner isn't even any good in big spots, he's made a career of blowing big leads. That bullpen will keep them out of the playoffs, also the lack of a consistent starter besides Santana will also keep them out.

Many wondered why Santana was taken out after the 8th when he was pitching so good. As Santana said, he was taken out so a batter can pinch hit to possibly get more runs. It certainly will be interesting in listening to WFAN and hear those Mets fans go ballistic. They certainly will have no interest in smacking the Yankees around after our win tonight.

yea pretty much.
there was a met fan that called wfan a few days ago I think he called adam the bull. Basically he was saying that the mets are better than the yanks in every aspect. One topic he brought up was the bullpen lol I'm guessing he'd like to take that back right now.

Russo: ahhhhhh it was sweet

Steve Somers, Tony Paige, Evan Roberts, Craig Carton, Boomer Esiason, Joe Benigno, and RICHARD Neer should be real happy that their NY Mutts lost a heart wrenching gm. lol

Mets are still only a game out of 1st you people acting like they 5 games back or something, it was fun to watch Santana have another lead blown but not lets get carried away and call the Mets a pretender when they are closer to 1st then we are.
