With the exception of Alex Rodriguez, David Wright is the greatest third baseman in New York baseball history. The conclusion is based only upon seasons played with a New York team.

Arod is the greatest 3rd baseman ever in my mind. His offensive numbers will end up being much better than Schmidt or Brett, and his 2007 seasonw as the best ever by a 3rd baseman.

yeah, when it comes to big games i'll take greg nettles over him any day of the week at the plate and especially in the field .. nettles even turned a series around with his base running, down 2 games to 1 didnt slide into second on a routine dp ball and threw freddie patek into short left center field and set the tone for our comback to win that series .. thats a ny player
