He (Joe Paterno) will never get prosecuted because of politicians afraid of losing the penn state cult voters but he should be.   Helping kids that could help him win football games doesnt excuse him for being a total fraud and child rape enabler.

Most, if not all, states have laws requiring certain professionals (teachers, Police, Medical providers, paid coaches) to report all allegations of child abuse and child neglect.   Media reports are saying that Paterno meet his obligation by reporting the allegations to his superiors (the indicted Athletic Director).  It seems to me under the "mandated reporter law" Paterno could be prosecuted.

When Paterno knew there was a predator in his midst he was obliged to stop this man from doing more harm to young boys, anything short of this is criminal and immoral.  Only another pervert would let a pedophile remain at large.   Paterno is libel to lawsuits from subsequent victims as well. IMO.

Can someone tell me why the redheaded freak Mike McQu eery hasnnt been fired yet? This guy at the age of 28 walked in on Sandusky raping a boy and all he did was tell Paterno the next day. What a sick bunch of f*****.

The great thing about hindsight is that it is always 20-20. So many "experts" have so many opinions on the matter. Where would the world be without "the experts." Guys like Greenspan and Bernanke who predicted the mortgage crisis "would not be that much of a problem." God Bless the "experts."...............I have do idea what I would have done in Joe Paterno's situation. I wasn't there and because I wasn't there I can't comment on it. Guys like Dr Drew know what they would have done though. They got the whole thing figured out. The older I get the less I know.

Walton you must be kidding.. Any sensible person would have gone to the police. Paterno was protecting an old boys network or something worse.  We're not talking about stealing pencils, it's the rape of a minor in the locker rooms.  If Paterno was fearful of the police publicity he should have castrated the pig himself but instead he allowed him continue on his merry way destroying young lives.  It doesn't take a genius to do the right thing here, Greenspan would have called the cops BTW...

But Walt, this isnt as complicated as credit default swaps, it's actuallly very simple. Paterno had knowledge of his LB coach raping kids and chose to do nothing, a simple call to the police is all Paterno had to do, instead he & the school president orchestrated a nice retirement for this monster so he would keep quiet, and he was able to continue to pray on young victims.

This breaking story is so disturbing in so many ways. I wish the guy who caught him with the kid in the locker had taken a baseball bat after him. How could you know a child that young is being hurt by such an ugly mofo and not stop it? That is almost worse than the crime. Those poor little babies. Horrible, horrible, horrible abusers. I am glad that what they did in dark corners has had this spotlight shone upon it. There aren't enough showers on the earth to clean off this filthy muck. These organizations for troubled kids need to have more oversight. Trust Me is no longer acceptable.

I want to thank the Good Lord for making me a Yankees fan.

Rockin, you have hit on something very crucial:

How could that red-headed freak who did basically NOTHING after witnessing the boy getting raped still be on staff??

That tells me McQuery knows enough that could SINK the entire PENN STATE nation.  And he's a coward of the first order.

And shame on you, Walton.
