Wow what an exciting off-season this has been for our NY Metropolitans...moving in the walls...changing uniform colors and picking up a nobody or two.  These are reasons why many metfans are excited about the teams chances as we approach pitcher & catchers.

I have very good news but I can't devulge my sources.  I have info on the QT that the team will soon re-acquire long-lost brother AJ Burnett from the NYY.  This will give us a solid number 1 starter at the top of the rotation.  This is something we haven't had since Pedro anchored the staff before he was injured and lost forever.  Many dead metfans will tell you that losing a homegrown player like AJB was a mistake that the organization needed to rectify.  The trade is a one for one with no salary issues.  Yanks get David Wright...I know it hurts but it's time to move on.

AJ Burnett...Always in our hearts!  The prodigal son returns...

The excitement continues to build as your Metropolitans begin to report to spring training.  Santana took 25 pitches to the mitt and soon we'll know if he can be depended on to lead the muets back from potential oblivian.

Post your expectations here....will the muets regain their 1986 form?  Will they challenge the NL East elite for a run at the whole enchilada?   Will Citifield continue its reputation as the best stadium food in NY.  Will that muffler that Benny welded on for you while you attended Dogs in the Park Day hold up?

Do to the amazin' volume of posting in the met forum...fans can expect delays while trying to post.  Stay crispy my friends...the end is near.
