You beat me too it.  I couldn't have said it better.  That lardass should be out of the game.  The only thing that pisses me off is he wasn't doing the Red Sox series last week in that 15-9 game. lol

count me on in on this one. I loath Joe "fricking can't call a  game right if my life depended on it"  West

how is it this guy is so revered by mlb?  every time i see a badly called game it usually involved west, yet, hes always picked for post season.

what criteria are they judged by.... cause man....my almost blind mom can see better than him

He's the worst. Did you see the strike call on Cano's check swing? He can't ump a game without blowing a few calls.

that pitch that he called strike 3 on martin was way outside too

there was one pitch i forgot who it was on the tigers was high and inside and was called a strike

both teams were victims of a crappy called game

I agree that West is horrible.  I also hate Gerry Davis. I'll never forget how West squeezed both Pettitte and Mo in Game 6 of the 2009 World Series.  He even had Mo smirking after he called "Ball Four" on a 3-2 pitch to Carlos Ruiz in the 9th.

His cocky arrogance is inexcusable.  So is his cavalier attitude.  As Girardi said, these games are important - but maybe they're not so important to Joe West.

He also hurt the Yanks on Opening Day this year.  I thought Mo's 0-2 pitch to Desmond Jennings was strike three.  West called it a ball.  Next pitch, Jennings singles up the middle and the Rays were off and running.  Who's to say that game doesn't come back to haunt the Yanks in the long run?  If Mo gets the leadoff man out, I say the Yanks win.

He really is the worst. Anti-Yankee strikezone is BS. I see it all the time. I'm eagerly awaiting the cheeseburger that breaks the camels back and sends this POS into cardiac arrest.

After what he said about the Yankees and Red Sox a couple of years ago,I can't understand why he's allowed to be the ump at those games.

Who remembers his personal vendetta against Cano in the '05 playoffs vs Anaheim? That was absurd.
