I stopped listening to him along time ago but I just listened to his rant on the Mets and it was pretty spot on. My Family who are mostly Met fans are going crazy with the team, wanting my opinion. My opinion is the team is accepting of the losing culture and starts all the way up from Ownership and trickles down to the players and Coaches who have made excuse after excuse for their failures. 

Despite their lack of talent, they just don't execute the fundamentals that even little leaguers make at A ball. I'll give you an example. I happen to catch a hilight of I think it was Parnell looking clueless of where to run to on a play where he needed to back up the catcher on a play at home or yesterday when I saw a player get forced out on a single at second base right in front of him. I don't know what's being taught there in Mets land but that's just not baseball. Sucks to be them and their fans.

Francessa is not a SMART baseball guy in all aspects of the game itself and all things Yankees. There are people on this very YES Board who are smarter than him.

The only thing he is very knowledgeable in is baseball history. However, he does not know how history is or can be created. Even his information on the Yankees is based on 3rd hand heresay. This is where Michael Kay has him beat, since he is a direct member of the Yankees/YES organization.

The only value Francessa has is pure entertainment value (when it comes to baseball).
