I highly recommend all the books by Mickey Mantle. Very interesting stories.

Have faith in the Yankees my son. Think of the great DiMaggio.

For a taste of the 80's the Winfield book is a fun read some nice nuggets in there .  Overall Yankee history the Pinstripe Empire is tops ,beautiful book worth owning. Last Yankee book I read was the Last Boy, Mickey Mantle. Got it from the library, I would stay away from that one, bad pacing, kinda depressing with bizarre crap in there that I didnt need to read

This is a terrific read if you want read about old time Yankees.....Summer of '49  David Halberstam

I know many do not like Joel Sherman his book on the Yankees was great...Birth of a Dynasty (Foreward by David Cone)

Here's another writer many don't like, Bill Madden....his book was a good read....Pride of October /What It was to Be Young and a Yankee

Yankees Century (100 years of NY Yankees Baseball) Glenn Stout

The Official Retrospective Yankee Stadium  Mark Vancil

Some of those books was bought many years ago, hope they are still in print... I have many baseball books as I listed a few  ....
