I like it! Welcome to the forum, BTW. Edit, if Girardi thinks Gardner can play a whole game I'd like to see him in left and Ibanez DH. Probably not an option but even on the bench Gardner has done as much offensively as Granderson has provided.

That's a good idea batting Ibanez 5th to protect Robbie. I think that is one of the reasons Robbie is struggling right now, no protection behind him. The pitchers know they don't have to pitch to him because there is an automatic out behind him. They wouldn't be able to do that with Ibanez behind him... Welcome by the way....

Cano is struggeling because he is back to hacking just like everyone else. No one is protecting anyone. I like the lineup

Cano is tired, its been a LONG year, he's played a LOT of innings, he needs to do something that a lot of the other guys need to do..STOP trying to hit a homerun every time up there. Just stay within yourself and drive the ball and stop swinging at bad pitches.....Cano should be getting walked a LOT in this series and he isnt. He needs to take the walk, stop swinging at crap and concentrate, he needs to work the count more...no way Buck Showalter is going to tell his pitchers to give Cano ANYTHING good to hit because he knows Cano will go out of the zone and get himself out.

Bingo... Right now I have more faith in Cano and Swish, that's not saying much for swish. However, Curtis and Alex have become strikeout machines!!

I want Gardner in the line up.. Not only will he make our OF defense outstanding with Ichiro, he could bunt to get on, steal, not strikeout like every other member of the team etc.
