Do you think The Yankees should sign Geovany Soto? He is coming off a bad season but his 2011 numbers are similar to Russel Martin's 2012 stats?

Welcome aboard.

He was non-tendered so they may consider him.  I think they'll look at a lot of options.  Otherwise we're probably looking at Cervelli as the starter with Stewart at backup.  I think Romine will at least get a couple months back at AAA unless he's really impressive at spring training.

With the current situation the Yankees are in and Martin with the Pirates now, Soto isn't out of the question. I believe it's in best interest with Romine that he starts in AAA next year. Throwing him to the wolves without any time in AAA is unfair for him and the Yankees. If the Yankees can get Soto on a 1 year, low base-incentive deal with him, it can work out. Maybe we catch lightening in the bottle with Soto like we did with Martin.

Horrible options if you ask me. Stewart's okay for the backup role, but Smiley Face again?

I agree.  The reason I mentioned Cervelli as the starter instead of the other 2 guys is because he actually is the only one who's started recently.   That's why I believe he'd get the starting nod over the other 2, unless Romine knocked them out at ST.

Cervelli has a history of concussions...I'd get rid of him before another guy goes after him again.  It happened on the last day of st by the Rays.  For his enthusiasm, Cervelli is a disliked player in the league.  Just a matter of time before someone takes him out.

Pitching will be the Yanks strength in 2013...you don't have a below league average catcher handle this staff.  Cervelli is lucky at times but this just won't happen.

Cervelli has no value in a trade or else he'd be gone along time ago.  If you can't play him or trade him...you know what you do?

DFA...as soon as you make a half-way decent catching move.
