A couple of pages from Bleacher Report about Cano trade scenarios:

I like the Giants deal but highly doubt SF would.

You know that article is about 3 months old right. The trade scenarios are playstation type trades and not in any way realistic. Not to mention they have a few that involve trading for players who arent even on the teams anymore like the Miami trade that included Heath Bell and John Buck.

Cano is our Franchise player.  He'll be a Hall of Famer eventually; we'd be stupid to let him get away.

Trade him. I am afraid after he gets that gigantic contract he'll even dog it more than he does now. I like Cano, don't misinterpret what I am saying, but we could get some good young players for Cano. It would help rebuild a sagging farm system that needs AA andvAAA depth. This is the only way we can get young and continue to contend.

And who replaces .310/30/100 and great defense at 2nd base? Some of you guys make me laugh wanting to trade Cano, just because he dogs it occasionally. Sure you could get some young players for him but unless you're satisfied with complete mediocrity for the next 5-6 years, you don't trade him you build the team around him. If Cano was on another team there would be people on this board salivating over the thought of bringing him to the Yankees

He plays nearly every single game, if he was truly lazy he would begging for days off.  Yeah Cano slacks off a bit but at least he is reliable and puts up MVP numbers?  Also who replaces him at 2b?

Only players I like from the list of those guys in that article is Stanton.
