How’s that Hope and Change working out? I’m sure there will be responses here poo pooing the many scandals affecting Mr Hope and Change, that’s ok, keep burying your head in the sand.  Benghazi was a major scandal in my opinion long ago. I am thrilled the media FINALLY started doing their jobs covering this. Now people like Jake Tapper of CNN and Sheryl Atkinson of CBS are not alone.

With all that’s come out recently  I’m sure that some of you who thought I was off base on Benghazi have to admit yes, this whole thing stinks. Deliberate lies to not only the American people but right to the faces of the loved ones as they greeted the caskets! All to cover up the fact , as I had posted so many times, they had ignored many warnings, denied requested security , even taking away security…which led this to being a death trap…..and they didn’t want the people to know it so they, the POTUS and Hillary LIED to our faces. Over and over again.  And don’t forget…the maker of the bogus video was rounded up and thrown in jail where he still sits. USSR or what!

Finally some are asking …what was Obama doing that night? No one heard from him. There are no photo ops like the Bin Laden raid. The answer his message boy is sent out with on the Sunday shows….” IT’s IRRELAVENT “!! Well it is relevant. They don’t want to tell us the truth. He was sleeping , resting for his Vegas fundraiser. Here’s hoping Benghazi doesn’t go away until every answer is found and justice done for those left to die in a death trap. Thank you brave whistleblowers for breathing life back into this and may more come forward now!!

What else is going on? Oh…the IRS! Yea, he knew nothing. Just some little guys in Ohio screwing around. More to come on this baby….already the NY Times and others have reported yes they knew things were going on well before the election. Stay tuned. Nixon is smiling. The AP scandal…..I was thrilled with this one! It woke up the media! Maybe they’ll seek revenge and dig up Fast and Furious again demanding the sealed documents nailing Holder be opened!

Sure isn’t the Hope and Change this guy promised is it? Doesn’t shock me. Just sad its taken the media this long to do its job. Better late than never I guess.

Who among you will be honest enough to say this guy ain’t what you thought he was. You like having a POTUS lie to you over and over again? Or a POTUS who will not even attempt to save Diplomats they allowed to be in a death trap? Benghazi is the BIG scandal by miles….people died who shouldn’t have.

Benghazi-disciplined diplomat a prolific poet

Raymond Maxwell -- one of the four State Department officials disciplined over security lapses that led to the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year -- is also a prolific poet. And he's been publishing provocative verses since he was put on administrative leave December 18.

Some of the poetry represents scathing commentary on the post-Benghazi fallout and implies that he feels like he's been made a scapegoat. In "Trapped in a purgatory of their own deceit," Maxwell writes in part: "The web of lies they weave / gets tighter and tighter / in its deceit / until it bottoms out - / at a very low frequency - / and implodes...Yet all the while, / the more they talk, / the more they lie, / and the deeper down the hole they go... Just wait.../ just wait and feed them the rope.

It's a bold and almost shocking verse from the 20-year foreign-service worker who was the well-respected deputy assistant secretary for Maghreb Affairs in the Near East Bureau and former Chief of Staff to the Ambassador in Baghdad. Fluent in Portuguese, Maxwell is also an ex-Navy "mustanger," which means he leapt from enlisted ranks to commissioned officer.

An African-American, Maxwell makes use of lynching imagery in his poem entitled "Invitation," a commentary about being put on administrative leave December 18th after the State Department's Accountability Review Board (ARB) criticized pre-attack security in Libya.

The poem reads, in part: "The Queen's Henchmen / request the pleasure of your company / at a Lynching - / to be held / at 23rd and C Streets NW [State Dept. building] / on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 / just past sunset. / Dress: Formal, Masks and Hoods- / the four being lynched / must never know the identities/ of their executioners, or what/ whose sin required their sacrifice./ A blood sacrifice- / to divert the hounds- / to appease the gods- / to cleanse our filth and /satisfy our guilty consciences..."

U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in terrorist attacks at U.S. missions in Benghazi. Poor security was faulted by the ARB review board. Former U.S. ambassador Thomas Pickering, who led the review, was quoted in the final, unclassified report as saying blame was fixed "at the assistant secretary level...where the decision-making in fact takes place, where...the rubber hits the road." The ARB, in essence, was seen to have cleared higher-ranking State Department officials, including then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, of direct fault on the issue of inadequate security.

It's unclear as to exactly what Maxwell and the other disciplined managers allegedly did wrong or how they were chosen for discipline. Three are on paid administrative leave. When asked for more details, the State Department did not respond prior to publication of this report.

Maxwell declined an interview, saying his poetry best expresses what he has to say.

libs don't care about the IRS scandal because it only targeted the half of America that they hate and most libs don't even pay taxes so they could care less about the IRS as long as the checks and freebees keep rolling in...  Obama is at the top of the scandal, he basically tells his minions to 'do whatever is neccessary' and he then jets off to another Rich White Guy fundraiser...

White House knew of IRS scandal “weeks ago”

We first heard  last week that the chief White House counsel knew for weeks about the IRS practice of targeting conservatives, when Lanny Davis called for the resignation of Kathryn Ruemmler – if she didn’t notify Barack Obama of it when she first learned it.  At the time, Davis wrote that “several reporters” had tipped him off to Ruemmler’s knowledge of the practice.  Now the Wall Street Journal and NBC’s Chuck Todd both report that the top lawyer in the White House did indeed know about the scandal for weeks before it broke publicly:

The White House’s chief lawyer learned weeks ago that an audit of the Internal Revenue Service likely would show that agency employees inappropriately targeted conservative groups, a senior White House official said Sunday.

That disclosure has prompted a debate over whether the president should have been notified at that time.

In the week of April 22, the Office of the White House Counsel and its head, Kathryn Ruemmler, were told by Treasury Department attorneys that an inspector general’s report was nearing completion, the White House official said. In that conversation, Ms. Ruemmler learned that “a small number of line IRS employees had improperly scrutinized certain…organizations by using words like ‘tea party’ and ‘patriot,’ ” the official said.

President Barack Obama said last week he learned about the controversy at the same time as the public, on May 10, when an IRS official revealed it to a conference of lawyers. The president’s statement drew criticism, focusing attention on his management style and whether he has kept himself sufficiently informed about the agencies under his authority.

The real question is similar to that facing Douglas Shulman and Steve Miller at the IRS.  If the chief counsel there knew about the targeting in August 2011, would he have left the top executive in the organization in the dark?  Would the top lawyer neglect to tell the executive for months about wrongdoing in the agency, especially when the top executives prepared for testimony to Congress and the topic was likely to arise?  That seems very, very doubtful, and if the counsel testifies that Shulman and Miller had been informed of it, both could end up facing criminal charges and years in prison.

The stakes are less high for Obama, but the same question applies.  How could the top White House lawyer sit on the knowledge that the IRS had targeted the President’s political opponents without informing the President?  Answer: Either Ruemmler was incredibly incompetent or the White House is lying about when Obama knew of the scandal. We got a big hint in last week’s press conference that it’s the latter, when Obama changed the context of a question about his awareness of the scandal to his awareness of the IG report, which is pointedly not the same thing.

Addendum: Maybe Ruemmler didn’t bother to let Obama know because she figured he already knew.  Jeffrey Lord at American Spectator finds a little circumstantial evidence that might explain the timing of the IRS efforts to target the Tea Party:

According to the White House Visitors Log, provided here in searchable form by U.S. News and World Report, the president of the anti-Tea Party National Treasury Employees Union, Colleen Kelley, visited the White House at 12:30pm that Wednesday noon time of March 31st.

The White House lists the IRS union leader’s visit this way:

In White House language, “POTUS” stands for “President of the United States.”

The very next day after her White House meeting with the President, according to the Treasury Department’s Inspector General’s Report, IRS employees — the same employees who belong to the NTEU — set to work in earnest targeting the Tea Party and conservative groups around America. The IG report wrote it up this way:

April 1-2, 2010: The new Acting Manager, Technical Unit, suggested the need for a Sensitive Case Report on the Tea Party cases. The Determinations Unit Program Manager Agreed.

In short: the very day after the president of the quite publicly anti-Tea Party labor union — the union for IRS employees — met with President Obama, the manager of the IRS “Determinations Unit Program agreed” to open a “Sensitive Case report on the Tea party cases.” As stated by the IG report.

The NTEU is the 150,000 member union that represents IRS employees along with 30 other separate government agencies. Kelley herself is a 14-year IRS veteran agent. The union’s PAC endorsed President Obama in both 2008 and 2012, and gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles to anti-Tea Party candidates.

Putting IRS employees in the position of actively financing anti-Tea Party candidates themselves, while in their official positions in the IRS blocking, auditing, or intimidating Tea Party and conservative groups around the country.

At the least, it seems awfully coincidental.

Obama Met With IRS Union Boss Day Before Tea Party Targeting Began

The White House Visitors Log reveals that President Barack Obama met with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) union boss Colleen Kelley on March 31, 2010—the day before the Inspector General's report says the IRS began its scheme to target tea party and conservative groups.

Furthermore, Obama appointed Colleen Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), to the Federal Salary Council whose job is to recommend pay raises for IRS and other federal employees one week after Obama and Democrats suffered historic midterm losses in 2010.  Two years later, Kelley’s 150,000-member union had raised $580,412, 94% of which went to Democratic federal candidates. The group also strongly backed Obama's reelection. 

American Spectator reporter Jeffrey Lord, who uncovered the visitor log connection, says the March 31^st meeting between Obama and Kelley was not the only time Kelley met.

In fact, this record in the White House Visitors Log of a 12:30 Wednesday, March 31, 2010 meeting between President Obama and the IRS union’s Kelley was not unusual.

On yet another occasion, Kelley’s presence at the White House was followed shortly afterwards by the President issuing Executive Order 13522. A presidential directive that gave the anti-Tea Party NTEU — the IRS union — a greater role in the day-to-day operation of the IRS than it had already — which was considerable.

Since the IRS tea party targeting scandal erupted, Kelley has gone quiet. 

“NTEU is working to get the facts but does not have any specifics at this time,” Kelley told the Washington Post in an email. “Moreover, IRS employees are not permitted to discuss taxpayer cases. We cannot comment further at this time.”

Yea I know guys....nothing there....all coincidence.
