For the rest of the season A-Rod is not going anywhere.... From what's reported....20 days to hear the case. 20-25 days for announcement. Verdict to come about Nov-Dec. That means A-Rod will play for the rest of the season. Michael Weiner says A-Rod's appeal verdict will not come until November or December.
That timeline doesn't match the verdict date. 50 days from now is September 24th.
So I'm not sure what's going on.
From dates listed, indeed the timeline didn't add up. From what's report ...normally such cases take about 50 days. This case with A-Rod is unprecedent as Weiner stated it will take longer than the usual 50 days.

Max...you could not be more right. This whole thing got silly when it became a personal crusade instead of a disiplinary issue.
Similar to the Pete Rose situation if not quite so direct in its attack on the integrity of the game. Rose got banned for life because he was a manager. A-Rod's ban for 211 games is about right, assuming MLB can prove he actually did what news reports say he did.
The game can either have integrity or Bud Selig as commissioner.

Bud Selig is the reason why the A-Rods of the world exist ... he turned a blind eye when PEDS were bringing in money and Congress wasn't yet involved.

Why is it every picture of Selig looks like he's taking a dump?
It looks more like he is trying to swallow one !
