Extremely Poor Drafting and Development

At some point Brian Cashman and Mark Newman and the Yankees entire minor league development system needs to be held accountable. Other than Robinson Cano they have done an extremely poor job of drafting and developing players and Cano is how old???. If I compare the yankees to the Red Sox and other eastern division rivals in this area its not even close and its actually embarrasing when you ook at the resources this team has. I am quite frankly surprised that no one calls this out.

Phil Hughes-Maybe a back of the rotation guy on an NL team
Joba Chamberlain- Mop up/BP pitcher
Eduardo Nunez-Utility In fielder
Brett Gardner- Solid starting of provided the corner Outfielders have some offensive power

BTW I know all abpout Sanchez and Williams and all of the other prospects but I keep hearing the same thing I have heard for the last 2-3 years-not major league ready..

And that's the "good" news about Cashman's farm system! I guess that's what happens when you don't get any money to spend!

Gene Michael and Bob Watson put together those core four championship teams of the 90s, make no mistake about it.

This organization must move Cashman to contracts and hire a baseball G.M. with experience and past success to screen trades, acquisitions and draft picks. We also must change the manager; one championship in 8 or 9 years at great cost is not impressive. Girardi is a nice man but not a special manager. Outside of Alex Rodriguez, Beltran, and one or two others no position should be considered regularly held down. Play the hot hand, we have nothing to lose. Bring up your young hitters if you have any. Rotate pitchers right back to the minor leagues if they can't get thru a major league inning. This has become a very hard and frustrating team to watch.

They've drafted quite well over the last 3 years. Farm is loaded with potential MLB talent
