I don't understand the hype surrounding Brian Wilson. ???
Why are some so hesitant to give Drob a chance in the closer role? ???
Because Yankee fans want sure things no matter how often they scream give kids a chance. The book written is he can't close even though he's never been given the chance to be the closer because the best closer of all time was capping off a great career.. He hasn't even failed yet as the closer on the team but "He doesn't have what it takes" Can he at least fail before the book is closed on him pitching the 9th. He might not be able to do the job but he should be given a chance. They have been grooming him for this role since 2010 or 2011.
Robbie Cano wants Uehara...
Don't put words in my mouth.
Why? You have no problem doing it to me.
I've never done it to you. I don't even chat with you regularly so I don't know why you decided to start a war.
You started last night,so just shut up and I won't bother you.
If having a baseball discussion is starting something then guess what? GET OFF THE FORUM.
The way you have a "discussion" is exactly why people do not like you. Do the forum a favor: YOU LEAVE!
Only a few people who I don't respond to because they think too highly of themselves. Sorry for proving to you that Uehara isn't a flash in the pan I guess your ego can't handle it.
You didn't prove squat. He IS a flash in the pan... He will not sustain his current level of production. Why don't you go to the nearest gumball machine and buy yourself a personality.
His career numbers say differently and like I said in the other thread if you actually have anything factual for your statement I would love to hear it.
Get a life... Have you ever looked up the word "opinion"?
Yes but also people just don't spew crap out of their mouth without anything to back it up. Also you should learn what the term "flash in the pan" means before using it. Uehara has been doing his thing for years, calling him a flash in the pan just shows how wrong you are.
You spew crap everytime you open yours. It must be sad to have to argue every minute detail of what someone says... This is a message board, for discussions, not a "see who knows how to look up the most stats" board. You lead a sad life,my dear... You need to relax... And since you twist around everything I say, our "discussion" is over. Good luck in that personality search.
I had no problem with you until you started posting lies in other threads about me. And it must be sad for you to try and have a baseball conversation and your only arguement is that you don't know how to look up stats, which takes literally less than a minute. Your whole point is a fail.
And what exactly have I twisted that you've said? It's not my fault you trash a player without looking up his stats first, get off the forums if you don't know how to be civilized.
Take your own advice. Leave!!!
What davis2 really meant was, stop posting facts, I can't take it!!!
There you go again... Putting words in my mouth. You blew the whole thing out of proportion right from the start. Your problem is you just can't function without your stats. They are helpful, but there is more to baseball than that. And that is where you get lost... So just shut up already...
How was I the one who blew it out of proportion when you mention me in threads I didn't even post in? It's not my fault you got offended by me pointing out that Uehara is more than a flash in the pan. And no you can't have a baseless opinion that he is when history says he isn't.
Just move on, all I did was point out that your "opinion" was wrong, there was no need to get all upset and cry in other threads about me.
Give Drob the ball in the 9th and call it a day. Geez we might as well just sell the farm system because so many here don't ever want to give anyone under 35 a chance
My issue with him New is that he hasnt learend to be more economical with his pitches. I just cant see him going 2-3 games in a row like Mo could do. Geeze, Mo put up one of his best seasons saves wise of his career this year. Man is he going to be missed.
That's been my issue with him also Joe but I thought he was more economical this year. With all the holes on this team, I can't see going out and spending money on a closer. Gotta give the young guys a chance Joe. IMO it's his job to lose
He's going to get the first crack at it. But I'd like to see Betances step up.

Kelley, D-Rob, Betances, plus maybe a FA reliever at a decent price...and yes, put Joba in the mix too if he's still here... put them all in a ST competition and may the best guy win the closer job.
Hughes would be a very intriguing name to add to this mix, but I think it's a certainty he is gone...

Not crying, you twit. Making fun of your hyper defense of a sox player... How can you prove an opinion wrong??? You live in a strange world...

You're opinion is wrong because Uehara has already proven he isn't a "flash in the pan." Lets just move on, no need for insults, and I am going away for a week so lets just wipe the slate clean and start fresh. Alright?
