With all of this arguing about Cano,no one has opined about who they should replace him with. I would think that is fairly important. What about Infante?

That's a good question... there's no one at Cano's level of talent. Imo..... They can't afford to not sign at least one premiere player. There's not a lot out there in this year's fa crop.  The fans won't stand for another year of signing mediocre players. If not Cano maybe they'll go after Ellsbury.

Ellsbury will probably get a similar contract like Cano's since he is represented by Boras (not 300 mil for 10 years).  If the Yanks have the money for Ellsbury then they have the money for Cano.

Maybe we'll get both....

Let's see..Cano, Tanaka, McCann, Beltran (?), Balfour....Unless Hal is minting currency, I don't see Ellsbury added to the list in regards to interest. ..Laughing

See my edited post Lauren....

Beltran... are they looking at Beltran? How old is he? I'm not a fan of Beltran.

Yeah..it's been reported Yankees in addition  to Beltran, Tanaka, McCann, Cano,  Yankees are also interested in Balflour. In fact the market is there for Beltran. He's drawing interest from several teams in AL.

Maybe after watching the Red Sox win another WS the Steinbros will get a visit from the ghost of the boss.... hang the budget and we'll get both....

I rather they go after Beltran than Ellsbury.  Ellsbury gets injured often and his game relies on speed.  He's 30 now so he's not exactly old but he isn't a spring chicken either.  If they can get Ellsbury for 5 or less years then maybe.

Maybe the Yankees are hiring miracle workers. Their first task is to grow trees made out of money.

I'd like one of those trees... please.

We'll see about this budget.  It could all be a ruse. Watching the Sox win the WS should shake the tree.
