The icing on this cake, that if they stay healthy, Yanks easily are a fav. for the WS.

A near perfect off season for Cashman. :)

I still think they need another proven arm out of the bullpen and a third baseman. The bullpen after Robertson, Kelley and Thornton is a question mark. I am not as concerned about long relief as I think either Phelps or Warren can fit that role but I would sure like a veteran set up guy/closer to complement what we have. Now that would be the icing on the cake.

A lot he probably has the second highet AAV on the team since we're not including A-rod. But they needed him badly. Will we ever see the day they can just turn to there young studs instead on spending big money on someone else.
To anyone going through a difficult time right now remember someone always has it worse.

we should only be so lucky to find & develop the next ..Hudson, Mulder, Zito , or Maddux, Glavine & Smoltz .........no question the thin market , the change in posting rules ...drove up the price .. BTW.. Casey Close should work for U.S. intelligence ...his gag order on the process should be a model for Goverment agencies.
"it's when the Yankees score eight runs in the first inning .....and then slowly pull away" Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert , on a perfect afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

It would be nice to see their farm system produce some at least middle of the rotation starters. Nova is progressing there but who knows. I need to see another year from him. Also, seeing something out of Pineda would be nice too. That's two cheap starting rotation guys that could go a long way of being cheap and hopefully guys we can get excited about in the coming seasons.

Close did an excellent job keeping things quiet. I've never seen anything like this.

Which Hal will more than make up for should T turn out to be the pitcher we fans hope he will. Six or more starts by him with a full house at the Stadium and bingo, the year's paid for?
