Does Anyone Else Find Brett Gardner Extremely Unlikeable With His Balls/Strikes Complaining?

One thing that has always driven me crazy about Gardner is that he complains practically every time the umpire calls a strike against him, even when he was a rookie. Usually you have to earn a reputation to have the right to complain to umps. Gardner has whined since his very first days in pinstripes. His whining reminds me of the players I loathed as a child, such as Tony Phillips, who would hang in a low crouch and be offended anytime a strike was called against them.

Now that strike 3 against Bauer was outside, but it just sums up Gardner. He showed up the umpire badly. He should realistically get ejected quite often.

Aside from his inability to steal bases with regularity, Gardner is quite likable

Actually you should get ejected quite often. If he showed up the umpire as much as you think he would have been tossed and he does NOT complain that often. Case closed.

he's a little chippy with the umps, but most of the time he has a case.  I just wish he would stop sliding into first base head first like a complete idiot.

I just wish for all the speed everyone says he has he would run/steal like Ellsbury does ?? I could only guess how many more runs we would score if he would be a little more aggressive on the bases ??

From what was reported,  Gardner has difficulties stealing on demand.  He can only do it at his readiness.
