He should be held responsible for the tired overpaid old players out on the baseball diamond.

As for Hal Steinbrenner, where was he for jeters last game?  In Tampa??? Does this owner even care?

You guys realize that the Old overpaid players were signed in 2009 right?.. you realize it was Hank the one who brought Arod back when Cashman wanted to let him go right? You realize that nobody saw the decline of Teixiera coming this quick right?.. Beltran was also healthy the last few years, you can't predict a bone spur to just pop up..  I'm not saying he hasn't made some bad moves, etc he's also made some really good ones. The Yankees are paying dearly for the 2009 WS championship, but you know what? not one of you were complaining when it happened.

listened to Hal on Kay /LaGreca yesterday ...i give credit to Hal for at least trying to give his take on "the state of the team" ...however i disagree about bringing Cash back ..evidently those trades bringing McCarthy...Prado saved his ...A ##S .....he blames the big 3 Beltran, Tex, McCann for the lack of hitting ...reading between the lines ...the perception exists that Texiera Dogged it to some degree by decelaring his wrist not quite healed !...maybe, , maybe not, but that declaration of not being a everyday player irked Girardi, maybe some teamates, and a lot of fans ..TEX just shut up get ready for 2015 ...no more excuses ...no one can be "the Boss" ...Hal doesnt want to fire people without justification ..thats all well and good, and i understand that.

as for the Yankees being more forceful with playing time re : injuries ...this is the end result of signing older players to long term deals ....having said that injuries can happen to even younger guys ..the point being i was encouraged by Hal talking about getting the farm system fixed ...and bringing younger players on the 25 ...mixing in with the vets and augmenting with a free agent to round out a championship club in the future ..Hal is not his father, but he went on the radio ...spoke to the fans and i as a fan appreciate that.

I would love to know how the Yankee organization is set up. What role do Levine and Trost play in the baseball decisions? What role does Cashman play? Aside from the ridiculous mantra of putting out a "championship caliber team" every April, what is the philosophy in attaining that? I't's pretty obvious to see how some teams ie: Boston, the A's, the Braves go about it but it sure seems pretty convoluted in how the Yankees go about it.
