Other than "Godfather 3" and "Goodfellas", I haven't seen any of the movies mentioned in this thread. Most of them, in fact, I've never even heard of.

John 3:16 * Ephesians 2:8-9 * Romans 10:9-10 * John 14:3-6 * Romans 5:8

Bomber stop reading books and this message board and doing things out of the house and instead rent these movies, sit in front of the TV and watch all of them. I await your reviews.

I believe there are at least two scenes in the awful Godfather 3 where Sophia looks at the camera while walking off screen. Cringe worthy. Francis had some quick debt to pay off. Thankfully a real movie about the mob was made that same year but hilariously Goodfellas was ignored by the "award voters". Yet another reason to give any award its warranted grain of salt.

Godfather 3 was almost unwatchable. It was unreal that he directed that movie. Even Pacino stunk in it. In the first 2 he was so good and he played Michael so calm, cool and calculating. In the 3rd he was like another person.

IMO the all time worst movie sequel was the Exorcist. Richard Burton starred in it. I only finished watching it because I couldn't believe how bad it was and kept thinking it had to get better. It got worse. The Jaws sequels were bad also.

Godfather III jusr somehow brought out the worst in everybody.  Even Eli Wallach (Calvera in the Magnificent Seven) was awful.  Normally I like almost anything Joe Mantegna is in, but Joey Zasa?  AwfulThe guy playing Connie's opera-singing son?  Awful  George Hamilton and Father Guido Sarducci?  Come on.  Talia Shire was just phoning it in.  Everybody just looked like actors reading their lines.  I didn't believe anybody.  Andy Garcia was OK, but not great like Pacino was in I and II.  The Sicilian assassin was good, but that's about it.

I agree on all counts. Once Duvall was out it was a bad sign. I think Pacino was still playing his Scent of a Woman character because that wasn't Michael Corleone. I mean George Hamilton in a Godfather movie.

HAHA, well you are partially right.  I do read quite a bit.  Mostly the Bible and books related to Scripture and history.  I do, however, watch some TV. Most of what I watch is old reruns.  "M*A*S*H" (original with Henry and Trapper), "Columbo", "Taxi", "Odd Couple" (some of the all-time great shows).  THe movies are usually older movies as well.  Last week, for example, I watched "Cool Hand Luke" again.  The most recent good movie I saw was "Captain Phillips."

Such a great point about the Godfather 3 acting.  Pacino had done Dick Tracy almost simultaneously and it really looks as th
ough he couldn't escape the dick Tracy role to play Michael. I pretend GF3 doesn't exist. Like Rocky V, ironically same year 1990.

OK,

Top Ten TV Comedies of All Time (in no particular order except chronological)

Abbott & Costello Show

The Honeymooners

Bilko

Car 54

Barney Miller

Seinfeld

Frasier

Modern Family

I can't think of a final two that are in the same class as these eight.  Also-rans might include WKRP, MTM Show, sorry if I'm forgetting any really, laugh-out-loud funny shows.  Cheers is not included because I never found it that funny.  First couple of seasons were OK, but then it just started repeating itself.

I don't consider any of the Rocky films after the original - the first Rocky was a classic must-watch-at-least-once-every-5-years-until-you-die film...  the rest could have been released as comedies...
