Lincoln was an OK movie - could have been great but it missed the mark.  Lewis was scary good in that I felt like I was seeing honest Abe on screen.  The rest was just ok, the montage of them getting the votes was like out of bad 80's flick - they should have just played "Let's Hear it for the Boy" during that scene.  (let's see who gets that...)

Lewis is a great actor, the movie was good but a bit too long.

Never saw Modern Family either, so that wasn't in consideration.

here's Joe watching Lawrence Welk with the gang...

My Dad loved the big band era music but even he refused to watch the Lawrence Welk Show. Hey do you remember Guy Lombardo new year's eve show? My parents, aunts and uncles all part of the greatest generation would like to watch it and listen to the music while us yoots would get bored and start making fun of the people dancing on TV. It was funny because after awhile the adults would join in and the whole family would be cracking up at some of the characters that looked tipsy.

I don't go to  or watch many movies but I loved Lincoln. I've probably seen it 5 or 6 times

If you're a Lewis fan like me, but even if you're not, check out the movie "Gangs of New York". A great movie and one of my favorites.

Not a Lewis fan (never saw him in anything I can remember) but I'm a big Lincoln fan and like Art said I thought I was watching the real Lincoln

I've heard alot of people rave about Daniel Day Lewis. I believe "The Bounty"  is the only movie I've ever seen with him.

Lewis is one of the finest actors of our time. He's won 3 Academy Awards for Best Actor, nominated 5 times.

In addition to The Bounty he's starred in My Left Foot, Last of the Mohicans, There Will Be Blood, Gangs of New York, In the Name of the Father.

I haven't seen any of those movies 61.  I do want to see "Lincoln", eventually.

Lewis was great in GONY, but I can't ever fully enjoy any movie that has that little squint DiCaprio in it.  It's like the Kevin Costner thing; if he's in a movie that's good it's in spite of his presence, not because of it.
