Yanks should try to swing a deal for him. He plays second and can hit. He played well for the Mets when he was there.

I remember people wanting him when the Mets released him. That release never made sense, given the fact versatility is even more valuable in the NL with potential double switches and pitchhitting for the pitcher.

If we didn't have the DH spot occupied, that Alex Guerrero would be a nice DH. He doesn't rate as a fielder, but it seems he can rake. LA has so much depth.

Justin Turner plays third and occasionally left field for the Dodgers. I've never seen him at second base.

Turner hasn't played the outfield for the Dodgers.  495 innings at 3B, 122 innings at 2B, 92 innings at SS, and 45 innings at 1B.  He spent one inning in LF for the Mets.  Over 7 seasons he has about equal time at 2B and 3B with some spent at 1B and SS.  3B and LF describes Alex Guerrero.

I kept yelling to grab him when the Mets DFA'd him.  Love those versatile players.   We still did good in that department finding Yangervis Solarte.   Johnson, Roberts, Anna, and Sizemore were busts but all inexpensive reasonable gambles.  I think Drew ll and Didi were expensive gambles.
