Florida is not going anywhere. Can the Yankees make a play and try to get Prado to play 2nd base. It has been a glaring HOLE all year long. Plus the guy is a clutch hitter. I am sure Florida would take prospects for him.

The Florida GM/Manager is not ready to concede yet, from what I'm reading.

I had posted this thought a while back. He has been hurt but if he is healthy he would be a viable option. 2 thoughts. At the trading deadline, if Florida nad Oakland are sellers chance are both Prado and Zobrist will be available and there will be stiff competition to acquire. Zobrist is a FA this year so his value may be driven by the competition between clubs. As for Prado he I believe is signed through 2016 so anyone who gets him would be on the hook for his salary next year. Not sure if this is a plus or munus in some teams eye but it could impact the level of prospects you would need to give up.

The best thing about both of them is that besides being a big upgrade over Drew, Prado is a righty while Zobrist is a switch hitter plus both could also play the outfield. Some posters thought that Zobrist would not be a big upgrade over Drew in part because he was hurt and he was struggling early on. Well his average is up to ,265 and his OBP is .360. He also has 5 homers and 29 RBIs in only 48 games played. 5 more rbis than Drew (71 games played) and his OBP is over 100 points higher.

It really will depend on asking price on whether teams want to meet demand.

I could be wrong, but the asking price for both will be considerably higher than the Yankees want to pay.

QWell we can always throw Stephen Drew in to sweeten that honey pot! Maybe some of CC's lard- I don't know that might be a bit too steep for Canoera. He really wants FEED CC LARD!!!!!

if Cashman didnt trade him ..he would be playing 2b ...i'll bet he would take that trade back ...

Not too sure about that. They wouldn't have Eovaldi, which was the point of the trade.

No, why would you think that? Right now the Yankees are winning that trade.

Right now, Eovaldi is 8-2 with a 4.58 ERA

If you take out 2 of his worst games (Miami and Washington) his ERA would be 3.37

Again,...

3.37 ERA

It's Miami, who would want to have that trade back.

Even better in his last 3 starts. 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA.
