It's one thing to be outspoken and speak your mind. It's another to just be out and out rude and ugly and that's what he is tonight. I couldn't vote for that
Trump made one mistake, he can't threaten the moderator that he'might not be nice to her. In his defense it was clear to me the Fox had it in for him right from the start. They knew the answer to the question about him leaving his options open as an independent. They made sure to ask the candidates that a the very beginning in order to get the crowd to turn against him. They also asked him a question about how he called others names when that question wasn't asked about how others on that stage speak about woman.
As for the rest there was few surprises. Rubio as always is an empty suit. Christie was being Christie, Paul was being Paul, Jeb was being Jeb. Carson talks but he takes too long to make his point, he was putting me to sleep. Cruz is creepier than the originally thought he was. Huckerbee is crazier and more out of touch than I though he was. And Sleep Walker is far dumber than I thought he was.
Trump and Kasich were the only was to talk about the poor. Out of all the candidates Kasich seemed the most honest when he talked about helping the poor and middle class. He even took the time to go into detail. He's the more moderate Republican. He also has people around him who ran John Huntsman's campaign. That's a plus in my book. Maybe if he wins he will have Huntsman as a VP or a cabinet member. IMO, that's another plus in his favor.
I agree on Kasich. I was impressed by his answers.
I agree that Fox went after Trump but I also thought many of his comments and insults were gratuitis. He seemed to go in with the mind set that he was going to insult people and make his points with as much bluster as he could. I have been pretty impressed with Trump up to last night but I would not want a President that believes he can win his points by belittling folks in every conversation. As someone that has been facinated with Trump, I was pretty disgusted by him last night
I think Trump let a lot of people down last night ... then again FOX did the job it set out to do ... destroy Trump ... but I think he's resilient to a degree ... so I wouldn't be surprised if he rebounds from this and is quite good in the next debate ... will have to wait and see.
I hear you Mo and I honestly want him to do well because it might well be time for a non politicain to run things but man oh man to me he came off as such a blowhard last night, nothing Presidential with how he carried himself
Yep, have to agree ... he did very poorly last night.
Trump didn't show up the way I had expected ... I know he's not a politician ... but he sure should have had some better answers ... however, it also looked as if FOX had it in for him.
I taped the debate because I wanted to watch the game last night.. I just finished watching the debate a few minutes ago.. It indeed looked like the Fox hosts had the people picked that they wanted to do well from the questions that were asked of them.. Trump came across about like I thought he would, but I have to agree Fox made it very difficult for him by the questions they asked .. I also watched the happy hour debate between the one's that didn't make the big show.. I liked the women, I can't think of her name right now, but she could make this R race a real horse race if she has another good debate ?? I'm sure if they do the same with only the top ten getting the big debate, she should be there.. Just my two cents, but I think Trump put a huge rock in his pocket last night ?? He's going to sink fast in the poll numbers and if he gets into another debate and acts the same way, he just as well go back to running his big corporations...
I think FOX did the job they wanted to do ... they hurt Trump ... and he didn't help himself either. Now with that being said, I don't see Donald Trump not running for President ... so I think in the end we are going to see him running as a third party candidate ... that will mean a Democrat in the White House for at least the next 4 years ... I'm just hoping that Democrat is not Hillary Clinton ... I'd much rather see Bernie Sanders as President ... and I think the debates for the Democrats, when they eventually start, will really hurt Clinton and help Sanders.
I actually think that's when Hillary will start to shine.. People will see what she knows and who ideas she has for the county.. I like Bernie, but there's no way we can pay for all he wants to do.. Just because some don't like Hillary personally doesn't mean she can't do a better job running this country than others.. I didn't like what her husband did in his private life, but he's been one of our best Pres. ever.. He turned this country around only to have Bush put it back in shambles... It goes the same way with Obama, I have no doubt, if Mr. Obama was white and had an R in front of his name the Republican party would be raving about what a great POTUS he is/was... If the people of this great country can't see all the good he has done, yes every POTUS does things that we don't like, but Obama's good by far outweighs the bad.. People have to have blinders on not to see the facts...
Have issues with Hillary regarding the email scandal ... but I guess the Democrats will back a Democrat no matter what they have done ... same goes for Republicans ... I was the same way when I was a Republican ... they could do no wrong ... now I see things a little different as an Independent with strong views to the right ... still back a lot of Republican ideas ... but I can't back a Republican candidate no matter what they have done ... Trump is already turning me off ... and I had some hope for him ... but he's not showing anything of substance ... I will wait and see, but I think he will lose me and a lot of other people like me ... people that just hate the way Government is run ... and dislike these lifetime politicians ... but somewhere along the line will have to figure out who is the lesser of two evils. With that being said, I really do believe Trump will run third-party, and in the end he will hurt the Republicans, and a Democrat will be in the White Hosue for at least 4 more years ... will remain hopeful that it will be Bernie ... sure, we can't afford all his ideas ... but don't forget his ideas have to get through a Congress and Senate ... he won't get a tenth of what he is asking for.
Just making a point. As of yet there is no scandal and she hasn't done anything. Lack of evidence doesn't equate to guilt.

I think I will wait to see what the FBI has to say about that.

He could have done better. He did make me laugh when he told Paul that Paul was having a tough night. lol Trump disappointed me with his closing statement. It was a chance for him to give more details about his plan. That said the other candidates also failed in that regard.

Whats wrong about this picture is that its refering to the exact words. While the word "inequality" may not have been said, a question was asked and an answer was given regarding inequality. I believe the question was asked by Kelly and the answer was given by Kasich. Also, there was never a question pertaining at all to "climate change" the entire debate. Im pretty sure that if a question was never asked pertaining about gun rights in any way, a Democrat during a debate wouldnt voluntarily bring it up. While the two words "middle class" may have only been said twice, there was a lot of talk about lowering taxes and creating jobs, both with pertain to helping the middle class.
Some debates are used to purposely cover certain topics and those certain topics only. Such as, theres a GOP debate later this year or maybe early next year, which is going strictly focus on economy. Is there going to be a picture chart after that debate too about how many times the words "Gay rights" was or was not said?

*Not the way most on that stage want to do it. As far as using exact words/certain topics. All the candidates were given the opportunity to address what they wanted to in their closing statements. Besides the fact that all issues foreign and domestic were not taken off the table for last night's debate.
I watched the game and some Canadian football on ESPN. I may catch the highlight reel of this tomorrow but it's way too much and way too early for stuff. But be honest none of you are voting for these guys, Hilary has you in her pantsuit backpocket, why torture yourselves watching 10 or 20 GOPers give 10 second answers.
Hey Rockin! I wont speak for anyone else but that's not true for me. I voted once for RR, I voted for Bush II second term. Art used to pull that stuff all the time about who I would vote for and I have to admit it ****ed me off. I'll decide when the time comes who I will vote for. Fact is I have said a bunch of times, I am a fiscal conservative in that I believe we have to hosestly face up to the issues of entitlement programs and defense spending but I a social issue liberal. I don't need any party telling me how I should live my life and I have always resented the Republicans of not wanting big government regulations anywhere but in the bedroom. By the way I will seriously consider any alternative to Hillary
Hey New ,this by far the worst election cycle I have ever seen. I seriously can not believe one of these people will be the next Pres.. I'm not shocked you voted for Reagan most Dems did, but Bush a second time, holy moses I even voted for Kerry in 04.
These days, both parties are too far out for me to relate to, GOP's problems you already know about, but the bizarre social justice warrior, cultural marixst, identity politics strain in the Dems is taking over the party. They are starting to eat their own like what happened to O'Malley a week or so ago. There's too much disdain for anything traditional or normal ,everyone is a victim, it's just too nuts. I read an article today in Huffpo asking if Mr Rogers was a racist, I mean this is Onion material.
I'm for regulations, but there is gross abuse by the Gov to stifle competition, kill products, pick winners and losers, etc How we can bring some common sense to Government, I have no idea, I think that is mission impossible. Maybe the mistake is thinking these creatures are actually in office to solve problems, when they are really just in the business of getting reelected..
