It's too bad, but when you don't hit you don't score and when you don't score you don't win games.. Pitching has been really good, so no blame there.. This slump is about as big of slump as I've seen a whole team go in for a long time ??

Girardi needs to go apesh!t...

This lineup isn't going to do jack shyte in the playoffs anyway. If they tank and some young players get playing time I'll take the draft pick and smile knowing that they didn't mortgage the future for a last ditch effort to get a mostly washed up team into and out of the first round of the playoffs. This is honestly what I expected since April. I'll be happy if the improve but I won't lose any sleep if they dont. On the other hand if they traded Severino,Judge and Mateo for Price (CC v 2.0) I'd be ****ed

Heaven forbid. I doubt the Mutts will make it--they're having a luck sreak right now and it's bound to run out.

That Wackley acqusition had to be one of the stupiest ever.  Useless to us, and just an excuse for Trashman to say ,"See?  I did something."

Wanna do something, Trash?  RESIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny, Cash at the trade deadline was trying to get pitching, however during this slide it's been the hitting that's killing them.

"Hmmm...he's 37, hitting .115, and is just coming off the DL.  PERFECT!!!!!!!!!  Better make an offer before some other club does!"

To be honest and I'm not trying to be funny. It's hard to decipher when an idea begins and ends.  Those run on stream of consciousness characterized by multitudinous thoughts lacking all punctuations is kind of hard to follow.

Unless you are purposely emulating James Joyce's Ulysses style of writing, that is rather cool. Otherwise, for us ordinary folks, punctuations would make for an easier read.

Our bench now consists of Ryan/Drew, Murphy and Young. We have to carry/reload with extra pitchers every other day because our starters can go past 6 and if we have an xtra inning game we are screwed for the next 2 days. Drew/Ryan are 6/40 in the month of August combined and 3 of Drew's hits came in one game. Thats a stellar .150. This is not a slump for these 2 its reality.

So we are playing with a short bench as it is plus one of these guys are in the lineup every day. Girardi can't make any moves just like in last night's game. He had to use Murphy to pitch run because Els was the only bat on the bench worth anything and he was saving him to pitch hit for Young in the 9th.  Listen you can talk about slumps and this team over achieving, and making trades or not making trades but when your roster is a cluster mess like it is now and has been all year the GM has to take the fall here not the manager. He can only play the guys he has available. And btw even if Ackley was not on the DL would that really change things?

Yet when this fiery guy had them 10 games back in July

It was this laid back guy who got them to make the great comeback.
