Everybody on this board has been screaming for years "get younger" "give the new guys a chance." This is the price you pay. The FO isn't going to mortgage the future for a high priced rental, or another over the hill veteran. They're playing pretty much the same hand they were dealt at the beginning of the season. Cashman tried cheaply to plug a few holes. We may make the playoffs, but without an incredible amount of luck, it's highly unlikely we'll get to the ALCS.
He couldve gotten an arm in the offseason via the FA route and not have lost a single prospect.

We passed comical last Friday. Pitiful came and went Sunday. We are currently drowning in Epic Fail.

Moves since deadline, DFA Capuano, Acquire Ackley, DFA Jones, DL Ackley, Resign Jones, DFA Jones, Resign Capuano.
Also call up Severino. I won't include Bird because your post was prior to that. Adding Severino was a big deal.

I did not include Severino because I am not sure he would have been brought up if Pineda did not go on the DL. If you are going that route than also mention bringing up Pindar a move that cost us 2 games this past week.
