He's a warrior. Gives you everything he can everytime he takes the mound. I've never had a problem with CC other than he wasn't a very good pitcher for a long time. As a competitor and a leader of the staff he's everything you could ask for.

Question, if the knee replacement thing is accurate does that mean CC won't be able to pitch again ?? If so how does that fit his contract with us ??
Well, my guess is that he may have to retire. Recovery from replacements is remakably fast. Mines not imminent but, my Dr told me no more running after it. Its no so much because you CANT but, it will wear the joint down, make a second replacement sooner (he is too young for one, as they last about 15-20 years) Also, higher impact will loosen the joints 'glue' based on present surgery technology. Professional sports activity i would think might be too much too expect of a knee replacement Based on where the technology is today.
My wife has had 2 knee replacements. They like to wait unitl yiu are in your 50s at least because, as you note, they generally last 15-20 years and the original prosthesis can only be replaced once.
