This certainly looks like a one and done playoff run for the Yankees. The only positive I can take out of them getting the home game is the local businesses gets one more payday that's about it. Nothing I have seen for the past two months leads me to believe that the Yankees can make a run but at least they will get to provide some revenue to small businessmen for an extra day.

I think if they win Tuesday they have a better chance against KC than they would against Toronto. We don't match up with Toronto. They score too many runs. KC doesn't have as good of an offense and their pitchers aren't world beaters.

Right now you're searching in the wrong place ?? Instead of turning the page like Joe always say, you need to turn those pages, but turn them back.. Going forward wasn't worth turning...

I agree I think there is a good chance we win on Tuesday and we match up well with KC, the playoffs are a Different Animal then the regular season. Remember how bad we played at the end of the 2000 season after we got Canseco and Glen Allen Hill, how did that turn out? I'm not saying we are going far but hey you never know we have seen weirder things in baseball, in sports.

Oh yea! In 2000 we also finished lousy.  Great comparison.

Oh wait.  That was a championship caliber team who'd just won 3 titles in its past 4 years.

Never mind.

I didn't see anything in April that made me believe this team would be a championship contender and I still don't.  I'm happy that they're in the playoffs, that the callups of Severino and Bird and the trade for Ackley all seem to be working, and that Heathcott and Refsnyder showed some potential in a pennant race.  Heathcott will either be trade bait or a Gardner replacement.  Right now, either one works for me.

This team can't improve much next year unless they do some miracle work with contracts.  Having these younger guys that actually looked pretty good in September leads me to believe there may be hope in 2017.

thats my point, the way we played the second half was horible in 2000, we almost missed the playoffs but none of that mattered in October in 2000 because we won the world series,

on September 13 2000 the Yankees proceded to lose  13 out of there last 15 and we almost lost the division ....
