Do any Yankee fans think that it is about time for changes to the managerial position and or GM.Showalter could leave the Orioles soon. 16 people have looked at this and have no ideas or thoughts.Pretty sad

As a Girardi supporter, I'll admit that some of his moves in the past month were head scratchers. Cashman, I could take or leave. He's a businessman GM, not a baseball man GM, so I'm not sure much would change unless the baseball people changed. Who we hire to replace Eppler may make Cashman either shine or bust. One can always argue that stagnation in the managerial position is bad and change can sometimes help. The Giants will replace a good coach in Coughlin next year and not because he's bad, because it's time for a change. The thing that I don't understand is your mention of Showalter. First of all, what makes you think he's leaving Baltimore? Second, why would anyone want him as a manager? What he's doing in Baltimore makes me sick. He has a young player in Machado that should be the face of the franchise. Instead, Buck makes sure it's all about Buck.

I ask again. Has any organization ever regretted moving on from Buck Showalter?

I understand what you're saying about Showalter.I mentioned him because 1 week ago I read that there was alot of tension between Baltimore GM and Showalter.I think that given very good players Showalter could be a very good manager.Right now I think that he is a better manager than Girardi. There is one thing that bugs the hell out of me is that Girardi does not call for the bunt at all.In yesterday's 3-0 loss he could have had Gardner bunt you know catch Houston off guard something like that you get some runners on base some speedsters and it could change the complection of the game.Honeslty I have never liked girardi.Years ago when the Yankees were interviewing Mattingly and Girardi for Manager if I were Steinbrenner I would have chosen Mattingly. Also the failure of this season does not all fall on Girardi,Cashman also played a part in the collapse

No, and who would you get to manage this hot mess better than Girardi does??? He's not perfect and can irritate the crap out of me at times but I'll guarantee there's no managerial candidate that would have done better.

Explain how Girardi created that mess. That mess was created by the fact that the players are the ones that crapped the bed in the second half. It's his fault Gardner and Ellsbury fell off the planet, and Tex and Eovaldi got injured, out most of the second half, etc., etc.???

Because he does NOT KNOW how to manage.Everything goes back to the manager
