I'll keep this thread going thru the July 31st trade deadline. All comments and rumors are welcomed.
Thanks for the thread Big Guy ... appreciate being able to catch up on this news all in one place ... always want to know what's happening at this time of year.
My pleasure.
Hey, after we were talking last week about Sling I started having picture issues like you. I also at the same time was having some electrical issues in half my house with the overhead lights not working. Anyway, after 2 days of issues and 500 bucks later for an electrician to fix a loose wire in my wifes closet lite, my Roku wouldnt tune an Sling channel in. It appears the stick was pretty much blown out. I bought a newer model and the pic is perfect now.
That's what my cable provider told me ... to buy a newer model of Roku and I wouldn't have any issues ... but I'm being cheap lately. LOL
I went cheaper to start too. The original Roku stick I bought was refurbished. When I think of it I must have had a weak moment. I only saved a lousy 5 bucks and had to end up being the better model eventually anyway.
I paid for 3 months of Sling up front and they sent me a new Roku 2 ... but my cable provider says I need Roku 3 to work better with my wireless internet ... so be it ... with the way the Yankees are doing this year, I don't mind if it's a bit fuzzy now and then.

Hey big guy. What's realistic to get if you trade gardner, Beltran, Chapman, miller?

I wish I knew. It would depend who they're being dealt too. Miller would bring the biggest return though.

By Jeff Todd | JUNE 16: Baseball America’s Ben Badler has a free scouting report on Alvarez posted, though he notes that because of the 18-year-old’s lack of experience in Cuba’s Serie Nacional, his looks at Alvarez have been somewhat limited. Alvarez once had a lean build but has now filled out his 6’5″ frame and weighs in around 220 pounds. Badler notes that scouts who have seen him more praise his bat control and give him average to above-average power grades, but he’s a bit stiff and has limited flexibility at first base. The whole report is well worth a look and contains some video of Alvarez at the plate as well.

To the Dodgers it's only money.

Yep. They just cut another Cuban they signed the other day. Did you get that message I sent you the other day?

Whats your thoughts and the Mets trading for Headley big guy if the price was low?

Mets aren't going to spend $13 million per year on Headley and he has 2 years left after this. Yanks would need to eat a big part of the contract. As much as I would love to dump this contract don't think anyone is stupid enough to pick it up. The only way to get rid of a Headley is to eat some of his contract and include another valuable asset in the trade.

Big guy. Miller/ Chapman to cubs/nationals/giants/Texas. Gardner/nationals/cubs/giants/whoever else? Beltran/ royals/giants/whoever else.

If they had a replacement, and were probably willing to eat some of his contract, I'd be in favor of it. That's two big IFs though. The Mets could be looking now that Wright needs neck surgery.
