It's a really interesting conundrum. Both have played well at AAA and the fans want to see Judge but Austin is probably the more sensible baseball choice. Seeing the poor defense from all of the 1B backups and knowing Teix can't play every day, Austin would be more versatile and could play every day between 1B and RF.

Judge definitely. He a definite part of the future and the team quietly wishes to bench the ever increasing nonfactor that Aaaron Hicks. Kinda of eerie how one Aaron will replace another, with hopefully much better results for the next decade. Also, you know Teixera will hold first base hostage for at least the rest of the month and unfortunately for all of us the Austin promotion will have to wait until September 1st or till Teixera pulls a hamstring or something. Don't be shocked by the later happening first, though?

If you bring up Judge you bench Hicks If you bring up Austin you bench Teix I'd hope for both, however they'd have to waive someone to do so and I don't think I see that happening. Although I would love to see Hicks go.

Austin first unless they release Hicks then both

Can't release Hicks, he got a HR tonight, that should buy him the rest of the season.

and apposite side to boot!

Why are you low balling him? They should extend Hicksie for like 10 years/$250 Million. Trade win of the decade(s).

Austin is the guy according to YES Network. This is not a bad thing at all but they better play him. He's a LF/RF/1B/3B. I was expecting Judge myself but this is not a bad move a day after A-Rod leaves.

As someone who was happy we traded for Hicks i say just DFA him and call up both Austin and Judge. If someone claims him so be it.
