How do you expect to win any games with a starting rotation like this? Why is Michael Pineda still on this team? Sabathia s knee problems... Tanakas elbow.... and those are the only pieces set...
Pitching wins stupid.... it's the old cliche. You can go thronthis rebuilding process with your lineup and whatever you want it seems as tho they never address the starting rotation... which is ultimately the most important formula for winning.. I don't get it..

Yankees have some of their own pitching they like such as Kaprielian, Sheffield and Adams. 4. They're not really expected to contend this season. 5. CAN WE SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT TANAKA ALREAY? He just pitched 200 innings with a 3.07 ERA in the best damn hitting division in baseball.

Yankees OF sucks offensively (depending on what Judge does) the majority of their run production will come from the IF and the DH position.

4. They're not really expected to contend this season.
5. CAN WE SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT TANAKA ALREAY? He just pitched 200 innings with a 3.07 ERA in the best damn hitting division in baseball.
Agree with 1,2, 4 and 5. Regarding 3 2 of them haven't pitched betond AA. I think Adams has a chance to be a back of the rotation guy. My point is Severino was a can't miss and last year he faltered to the point that no knows if he is a starter or no going forward. I like Kaprelian but he has gone down with injury last 2 years. If Tanaka opts out we potentially need 4/5 starters starting in 2017. (CC gone, Pineda a FA, Tanaka a FA). I would love them to trade for a young starter under control (like an Archer) even if it means giving up a couple of top prospects that are excess. WE have some surplus at SS and OF prospects. Point is they need to start considering building a staff even for 2 years from now. Bringing in a piece or 2 over time would be a good idea. I want to be optimistic but past history dictates not all of our starters that are prospects will pan out.

Hey I'm with you, I kinda want Cashman to offer a package around Mateo and Sheffield and maybe a lesser prospect or 2 for Quintana of the White Sox who would be under control for 4 more years cheap. I dont believe all the Yankees SP prospects will pan out either, but I think at least one of them from the amount they have will.

I think that's a bit much for him since up to now he's been a .500 pitcher.

You might want to tell the Mets that. They had, by far, the better rotation than the Royals in the 2015 World Series, but the Royals smashed them in 5 games anyway. Keep drinking the Kool AidIf we are rebuilding as you say explain to me where the foundation is for the rotation 2 years from now when we are suppose to contend? They should be adding a piece here and a piece there. It won't happen over night. If people think we are gonna have a legitimate rotation 2 years from now if we don't start adding pieces now then they are in gaga land. Remember this organization has not developed a legitimate starter in years.
