Is that what he said? I shut it off. I mean what does Green's rhythm have to do with DRob being the one that should've pitched to Lindor? Stupidity must be running through his veins in abundance tonight.
He didn't want the pitcher to lose his rhythm. That's why he didn't challange. Idiotic.
Yup, his excuse for not challenging essentially was to not break the pitcher's rhythm. Between pulling Sabathia too early, not challenging when Sanchez begged him to, leaving D-Rob in too long, leaving Betances in too long, and being ahead 8-3 and blowing the game with these blundering decisions, you have to say Joe clearly lost this game. We beat Kluber up. We were up by 5 in the 6th inning. We lost. I'm sickened. Yes Network crew lambasting and questioning Joe, and rightly so.

Grenn pitched 3 innings in the pen ...he was up 3 times until he came in the sixth

Honestly, I can't defend Joe G. on this game. First, he should have stayed with CC was pitching with great Rhythm and had a 5 run lead. Also, this would also save your bull pen which was still tax from the Minnesota game.
And second, he should ask for a replay even if he didn't get access to the film on time. The fact that Sanchez was indicating the ball was tip she have been good enough to challenge it. Overall, he simply over managed and it cost us this very important chance of taking this series. In order to best the Indians, we needed to come out of there with a spilt. Oh well, it's off to game 3.

can they fire Girardi before Sunday's game!
|
|
I'll manage them at home. Got nothing to lose.

|
Bye Girardi. Don't let the door hit you.

Once again, the Yankees over reliance on the home run showed in this game. They could not hit with RISP or even manufacture one measly run.

That wasn't the point. This game was theirs to lose. You don't take an 8-3 lead on HRs and blame the hitters, this loss is ALL on Girardi for not challenging a call when he should have.

the frustrating part too was after fastball after fastball to Chisenhall, he hung a slider to Lindor
