Just want to reiterate how I feel about Girardi. I do think Girardi is as good a manager as there is in the game and more importantly he is one of the good guys in life who are slowly being run off. I am proud of him for how he handled everything. The way he always does. And i'm proud to have been on his side from the get go. We all have our opinions and that is mine.

He should be up 2-1 instead of down 2-1.

He does "over manage" at times, but he lives and dies baseball. I see many Championships in his future with these new core players. PS - I just wish I was younger!
Boone: You know my mama wanted me to be a farmer.
Judge: My dad wanted me to be a baseball playe
Boone: Well you're better than any player I ever had. And you're the best damn hitter I ever saw. Suit up.

Yeah, but look at all of our memories. We got to see the great late 50's, early 60's, late 70's teams in addition to the '96 run. I'm thrilled where I am in life

Same here new. I'm on a short string, but I hope to see #28.

I hope we all do '59 but the Yankees owe me nothing. They have given me more thrills as a franchize then all my other home teams combined. I love this franchize

Well, since this has turned into the old codger thread I would love to hear a story or two from one of you who actually was at the stadium in the 50's. I was born in Paterson in 54' and was taken to the stadium the first time in the summer of 59'. Of course I was only 5 and I really don't have a memory of that day. I do remember a popcorn box we had at the time that was in the shape of a megaphone. Man what I wouldn't give to be able to remember the game and the players that I saw on the field that day!

But I know...You're too stupid to remember. Go back to where ever you've been hiding since 1961. NC...

I hope he sticks around jeep. But things like this linger and they hurt. And it was completely uncalled for. But like he says that is life. I hope his family convinces him to stay so that he can lead this super talented group to like you say multiple championships.
