Source confirms that Aaron Boone is indeed a candidate for the Yankees managerial position. @Buster_ESPN was 1st on the story.

He'll have most fans cheering the decision if he's chosen, since his claim to fame will always be his 2003 HR that won the AL title against the Red Sox. As a manager...I don't think so.

yea I would be ok with it and he fits the mold he comunicates well and is into anylitics!

what he did in the WS is inconsiquential the ALCS against the red sox was our WS that year!

How about interviewing candidates who have proven managerial ability? Like the guy Cashman just fired. Unless Cashman wants someone who will be a puppet.

Huge shoes to fill no matter who Ca$hman and Co. pick.. But I agree, it would seem this proud Franchise would look to a qualified manager to take over with the future like this team has ?? I still think it will go to someone in the organization that has some managerial experience ??
