If Mueller doesn't go, those indictments were just for show or as D congressman Lieu said, it was just to poke Trump in the eye on the eve of his visit....I tend to agree with both  !!

Trump: Putin Willing to Let Mueller Go to Russia and Investigate, Mueller Team ‘Probably Won’t Want To’

During an interview broadcast on Monday’s edition of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” President Trump stated he was “fascinated” by Vladimir Putin’s offer to let “Robert Mueller’s people go over there and bring a big investigation” of the 12 Russian officers for election hacking, but Mueller’s team “probably won’t want to.”

Host Sean Hannity asked, “Did you like President Putin’s idea [that] Robert Mueller should go talk to him?”

Trump answered, “I was fascinated by it. So, they have a treaty where they work together with the United States. Because everyone said we don’t have an extradition treaty, but they have a treaty where they work together, and his prosecutors would prosecute it, and he said that Robert Mueller’s people could go with them. But they probably won’t want to.”

He later added, “[H]e’s [Putin] willing to let Robert Mueller’s people go over there and bring a big investigation of those people, working together with Russian investigators.”

You're as dumb as a fence post if you think Putin has any intention of helping. Mueller has already done the work. If you were capable of reading and comprehending what you've just read I would suggest that you read the indictments. But I know you won't because you voted for Trump and Trump voters are not very bright.

He offered before the world to allow Mueller to go and sit in and interview the people he's accused...If he doesn't go, he's a fraud...Just like he refuses to go interview Julian Assange !!

He knows the truth and doesn't ever want to see the case tried in court...Like that other poster pointed out, then Mueller will have have to turn over the evidence/discovery of his accusations....Something he's fought tooth and nail with on the first set of bogus Russian indictments that look like they're going to be dismissed in a humiliation for the Special Counsel !!

Btw, all your name calling is a badge of honor to me !! Smile

The cons are doing their usual distracting, they know Mueller would not step on Russian soil, chances are Putin would poison him or he'd just disapear... But with dd1029/art craner, yank and some others on this board would love to see that happen...

The "work" would be to bring those people to justice.   Not to try to score political points ahead of a summit with indictments that will never, ever go anywhere.

Go to about 10 minutes in to this interview:  https://video.foxnews.com/v/5810009147001/?#sp=show-clips

Why wouldn't Mueller file requests to question the 12 people he's indicted, as the treaty we have with Russia allows for?

Again, please tell me how it wasn't a political stunt and a waste of taxpayer dollars to indict people with no intention of following up on the indictments?

Just like the farce of a lawsuit by the DNC against the Trump campaign (which was dismissed), it's a stunt, and each time it gets dropped.   The Dems do not want to go to a discovery phase legally where the other side then gets to demand to see their evidence.   Because again, that would include the server that's been hacked, and would open up questions as to why the FBI wasn't allowed to look at it.

Exactly Meacham. Putin reminding America about our justice system .....problem is Mueller and anti Trumpers aren't interested in that it would mean opening everything up to discovery which they don't want. These indicted Russians are for show to show something after millions spent over a year.

After a days reflection on the press conference yea Trump should've made it clear he takes his national security adviser word over Putin that was a misstep he should've been prepared for. However it doesn't rise to the hysteria we're seeing. We shouldn't be surprised . They were gonna rip him no matter what he said.

Trump is getting reamed out by virtually everyone over his disgraceful performance at Helsinki.  Yet, there are still a few rubes gullible enough or desperately invested enough to continue supporting him.  Yesterday's fiasco is now being dubbed "The Surrender Summit"...

How many Republicans will continue to be complicit in this treachery?
