Hicks is mediocre, at best. His average season is: 11 HRs, 40 RBIs and a .236 BA. And...he turns 30 on October 2d. Whatever his "best" is, we've already seen it; it's all downhill from here. So, what's the big urgency to keep this guy?? I say "Adios, and enjoy Kansas City!"

And a great Baserunner that has base stealing fobia
That's "phobia", by the way.
As in: ortographobia is the fear of spelling words incorrectly.
(I know, I know, attacking spelling and grammar on the internet is a low blow.)
No its not. If you can't spell, how could anyone take you seriously?
I dunno ... you tell me

His last 2 years have been solid. He has been a later bloomer, and his stats are trending up. He is also a decent LH bat in a lineup almost devoid of LH bats. MLB players are hardly washed up or headed downhill at age 30, and Hicks won't be either. Next year's FA class for CFers is lousy, and the Yankees farm system has no CF anywhere close. They traded away virtually all of their promising CFers, and Florial is at least a couple of years away. Hicks is probably going to be extended, I'd guess a deal for about 3 years, his ages 30-32 seasons.

They traded promising outfielders so they can run that rat out there in LF. Just mind boggling. If you keep asking me I'm NOT pleased with the Yankee off season
