seems to me he has done a pretty masterful job keeping the ship upright despite the injuries. Certainly not a championship roster he's managing here but they're playing good ball. I figure if he caught all the flack for the poor start, he should get some credit for the recent play

 I agree with you

James Paxton, Luke Voit carry no-name Yankees over Giants

George A King III Called them the No Name Yanks

Boone said that this team has embraced Next Man UP

As a Miami Dolphin Fan, I Cherish that name.  It was given to them by Head Coach Tom Landry of the Dallas Cowboys because the Dolphins were getting as much or even more publicity than his Cowboys and he didn’t even know the name of the Defense. In 1972 that Team became the Perfect Dolphins and still is because the NY Giants pulled the biggest upset in the History of Professional sports when they beat New England in the Super Bowl.  I will forever be thankful to that Giant Team.

I got off the rails. Our No Name Yanks continue to surprise all of us

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago.  He has to be the front runner for manager of the year with the adversity the Yankees have been through.

Some credit for Boone, yes.

More credit to:

1) Playing an extremely weak schedule so far

2) The league doesn't have a book yet on all the guys in the lineup, and they have to focus on getting one on about 5-6 guys at the same time, instead the usual 1 or 2.

I hope some of the Yanks key hitters get healthy real soon, because the schedule is about to get much harder: D'backs, Twins, M's and Rays all in a row. I don't expect the Yanks will be winning 10 of the next 12 as they have the last 12. I would be very happy with 6-6.

Boone deserves credit ... he's had to work with a whole new group of players.

He hasn't really showed much up until now. I have to give him credit for performing well given the nightmare scenario he was resented with.

Boone deserves a lot of credit... especially for staying the course and beliveing in this team even when they were losing. Dealing with all these injuries and still managing this team to keep afloat is an added challenge.

Cashman should also get some credit... for the depth of this team. How many starters have been lost... most teams wouldn't be playing this well with a these injuries.
