House minority leader McCarthy said video games are the problem in spuring mass shootings.  Guess there is no video games in Japan.  The elephant is in the room in regards to rhetoric to embolden white nationalist.

As we speak... Trump remains out of sight following two mass shootings

Trump has been putting golf balls in holes while his White Nationalist devotees have been putting holes in innocent Americans.

Trump surrogates has been making the rounds saying it's a person with mental issues creating destruction. It has nothing to do with Trump.

From what was reported. .

19 out of 20 murderers have no mental illness diagnosis.

4 out of 5 mass shooters have no mental illness diagnosis, and half showed no signs on a prior, undiagnosed illness.

Framing this as just a mental illness problem is a measure of distancing his action from Trump's racist rhetoric and the gun lobbyists.

That's exactly right...they are laying down a smoke screen for the gun lobby.

welp... down the memory hole she goes.

heavy.com/news/2019/08/connor-betts-twit...

Connor Betts, the Dayton, Ohio mass shooter, was a self-described “leftist,” who wrote that he would happily vote for Democrat Elizabeth Warren, praised Satan, was upset about the 2016 presidential election results, and added, “I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.”

Betts’ Twitter profile read, “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” One tweet on his page read, “Off to Midnight Mass. At least the songs are good. #athiestsonchristmas.” The page handle? I am the spookster. On one selfie, he included the hashtags, “#selfie4satan #HailSatan @SatanTweeting.” On the date of Republican Sen. John McCain’s death, he wrote, “F*ck John McCain.”

On Nov. 2, 2018, he wrote: “Vote blue for gods sake.”

It's a perfect storm....Trump's racist rhetoric to embolden white nationalist as the lack of gun safety laws allows the acquisition of war weaponry. The combination lead to dire consequences.

We've been debating with those on the other side of the fence with zero common ground...so I won't continue to try.

The vast majority of victims of non-gang/drug related mass shootings are white.  How the hell does this have ANYTHING to do with your contrived thought that Trump is advancing white nationalist rhetoric?

There is only one correct answer to addressing gun violence.  It needs to be studied to find the causes.  Gun laws have been proven not to work as a vast majority of mass shootings are in "gun free zones" or in states with tough gun laws.  I wouldn't pass anything that the Democrats currently have on the table because they're just throwing restricitions on the table that have either no evidence to prove their effectiveness or actually have evidence to the contrary.

The one area that I'll agree that there needs to be some movement is the studying of violence (gun and otherwise) and its causes.  Then and only then can you make "common sense" changes to our laws or society to make it safer.  I think a real study will find answers you don't want to hear...Democrat educational policies have stopped people from getting treatment early in life and Democrats shuttering mental health facilities has left more people on the streets that should be in treatment.

Quit making a fool out of yourself dixie chick, blame where blame is due, if you think my AR that's still in the box it came in, and has never been fired is a problem, it really shows why you're the stupid one following your man donald... When it comes to being a HYPOCRITE you fill the qualifications...

1. You told everyone here that you were gifted an AR15 from your grandson.

2. You continue to own it, although you never take it out of the box.

3. You have come out against the owning of such guns by others, yet you have not destroyed or relinquished yours to the police/military, which you claim is the only entities that should have possession of such guns.

4. You cannot refute my claim, and thus resort to name calling. Quite churlish and juvenile.

5. You misrepresent me by calling me a follower of "donald" (Trump), when I've stated many times I am not a supporter and did not vote for Trumph.

anything else?

You are correct in what I said, but still again and for the last f**king time, I will be the first one to turn my AR in if they call them in... My AR was gifted to me by my GS and it would sure look bad if I told him the gift he gave me I just turned it in when no such guns were called in... You, I know I'm suck a dangerous man because I own a AR, that I have not one shell that that gun shoots, it's never been out of the box unless I show it to someone.. I have several guns, I collect Henry Golden Boy Lever Action guns, from with most are still in the boxes they come in, I collect other guns, especially older guns, it's a hobby, not a means for me to protect myself from anyone one or anything.. And yes I still don't think the average person should be owning any AR style gun, I would never buy one, and I wouldn't even have one if my GS, who spend four years in the military and thought it would be a nice gift to his Grandfather that collected guns...

Now if you can't understand what I'm saying, you are indeed one mixed up dixie chick...
