OS choice

  As everyone (I think) knows that in Jan. 2020 Win 7 will reach end of life.


Well my pc is 8 yrs old so I guess its time, the question is should I go for Win 10 or forego Microsoft and choose a Linux distro, I plan to install the OS (whichever path I choose). So I guess the question what are your experiences witth either OS and which would one would you opt for.


p.s MacOS is not even in the equation.

Thank you for your response. Yes, after more research, Windows 10 is actually maturing pretty well...so Win 10 it will be Laughing.

Thank you for your response. Yes, after more research, Windows 10 is actually maturing pretty well...so Win 10 it will be .

Linux is great as a server OS, but it's nowhere near as mature as Windows for a desktop experience.   It depends on what you're going to do with the computer, but for a PC I would generally just say go with Windows.


I really like Mac OS BTW, but for Macs, not PCs.
