Man, this forum is deader than the politics section! I guess I am talking to myself. At least I am not alone in the dark.

So the Rangers were down 3-2 with 11:12 to go in the third. 7 minutes later they were up 6-3 and went on to win.

They are still way too inconsistent. Hopefully Quinn and experience will remedy that and next year they will be true contenders.

I remember when HL was king of the shootout.

One Cup in my lifetime and I'm a Grandpa! And that was 27 years ago.

It has already been 3 years since "The Letter" was written and read aloud to us fans. Management has promised us a winning team like they do year after year after year after year after year after year...

I'm still waiting.

Some random thoughts that no one will read.

It's weird seeing Lundqvist in another sweater after 15 years but his time was up.

It took quite a while for Krieder to develop into the power forward he is. Buchnevich and Strome are looking real good.

Hopefully Lafreniere and Kakko will work out and follow in the footsteps of McDavid.

What happened to Zibanejad?

I hope Panarin can defend himself against these bogus assault charges. I read that he was outspoken critic of Putin and this is his Trumponian payback.

Beautiful OrrLeetchesque coast to coast goal by Fox. I must have watched that replay 10 times.

Only one Cup in my lifetime is sad. Especially for an original six team.

Why do we need an NHL forum when no one visits? I can't believe that there are not more hockey fans here. I get that hockey far lags other sports in viewership and popularity but not even a couple of fans for hands down the greatest game on earth? Since my wife could care less about sports and my best friend is a Devils fan here I am talking to myself yet again.

Man, another fruitless season has come and gone for the Ranger albeit a foreshortened one due to corona. This team looked great on paper this year but not on the ice. I expected more from Shesterkin after all the hype. Panarin is a bonafide sniper as is Zebanejad. Strome has also excelled. Fox surprised us all. Buchnevich has awoken. The kids are progressing.

Dolan is right, screw the NHL for letting Wilson get away with it. It was worth the $250,000 fine to call them out and expose their blatant hypocrisy. BTW, cheap-shot Wilson was fined a whopping $5,000! I was proud of the Rangers coming back and kicking ass. They made a statement with over 100 minutes of penalties during the first period.

They are not brawlers but finese players which I thought the NHL wanted. I was wrong. The NHL claimed the days of  fourth line of enforcers is over. Wrong again.

Pres JD, gone. General manager Gorton, gone. They did an admirable job of rebuiding this team since the "letter" from management over three years ago but did not publicly back their boss over the Wilson affair so Dolan cut them loose.

Drury was promoted to GM/Pres with Messier and Sather talking into his ear. Drury promised us a Cup. Where have I heard that before?

I'll be back for next season but the reality is it has been 27 years since the last Cup and 81 since the previous Cup. that is phucking pathetic for an original six team from NY no less.

I feel better now.

A close but no cigar season. I really thought they were going all the way this year but as any long time Ranger fan can attest to, it is always something with this team.

I remember Sam gleefully exclaiming that the '94 Cup will last a lifetime. No, it didn't, at least for me. One Cup in 81 years for an original six team from the greatest city in the world is pathetic.

An original six team with only one Cup in the last 82 years.

I, um, err, I'm umm...
